Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I have noticed this and I am not sure if this is a bug or not? You know when they review a previous HR by a hitter for some reason when it looks like they are about to show the HR it then skips the rerun of the HR. I am only playing exhibition games for now and noticed this. I thought it was me by hitting the "X" button to skip the HR review but I did not even touch the button. Has anyone else seen this?Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
This has happened a few times in RTTS and I believe is a reoccuring bug from 08.
Let's say score is tied 1-1 in the 7th inning and Kolbe Launchbaugh is up at bat with no one on base. He hits a single to center and I field it cleanly and throw it back in. Cut to my next play, same 7th inning and Launchbaugh is up at bat again with someone else at 1st and the score is still 1-1.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
About 2-3 times a game when it's time to turn a double play, my guy just freezes. Let's say ball goes to third, I move to cover 2nd and to receive the throw and throw to 1st, except as soon as the 3rd baseman fields the ball, my guy stops, waits for the ball to get to him, then runs to tag 2nd and then throws to 1st. This happens 90% of the time. Am I supposed to time it somehow or what?
Also, why do I miss basic plays. They're not right at me but not far enough to warrant a dive yet the fielder doesn't do any animation or anything and the ball just goes by...Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I searched for this but couldn't find it.
2 things I noticed:
1. I'm the Astros playing the Cubbies at Minute Maid for Opening day. Quintero hits a ball mid-center and Matt V. says that Johnson had to go all the way to the track to catch that one. Then right after that Oswalt hit one to mid-center too, and Matt V says the same thing. I don't know if it's just a Minute Maid thing, because this wasn't in the demo.
2. I started rockin Dempster in the 7th. The pitching coach comes out twice for a mound visit, and didn't go to the pen on the second visit.Last edited by kt-od; 03-04-2009, 09:38 AM.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
The only one I came across was in the 8th inning of a game at US Cellular.
I made a diving play with Paul Konerko, and then it went to a cut-scene in the dugout where Ozzie was applauding the play. In the dugout it showed Konerko and Matt Thornton who was on the mound pitching at the time.
I don't know if it's really a glitch as it is a whacky occurrence. It would be nice to get that worked out for next year.
Also the disappearing equipment on homeruns. I'm sure everyone's seen the disappearing shin guards, elbow guards, etc. after a player reaches homeplate after the HR all the equipment he was wearing while rounding the bases, with exception to the helmet and batting gloves, is gone. No big deal for me, but another thing that could be worked upon.
EDIT: I should note that none of these take away from the amazing gameplay experience in MLB 09 The Show. It still gets a 9-9.5/10 for meComment

XMB = Cross Media Bar. That means the menu/user interface that pops up when you press the "PS" button on your controller or when you turn your system on. You have a very common problem so there should be some detailed answers around. I think I saw that it has to do with your sound or tv settings.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
it's a little hard to explain maybe i can try to get a screen shot of it. i pitch and hit from he pitcher camera angle. So when i am pitching to the hitter ya know when they foul one off it will stay on the pitcher view and show the batter hit the ball off to one side with that fouled off swing. it does this but then it cuts to the right field and shows that it wasnt a foul ball its actually a hit. but my outfield isnt really moving because i guess the game at first registered it as a foul ball. then i start running towards where the ball is hit and the framerate is slow
takes a while to get over to the ball and throw it back to the infield and by that time its a triple
But yeah, only once for me in maybe 25 games. Not really a "workaround" per se, but one way to know you're going to have one of those coming up is you'll get a cut scene of the batter walking up without any statistical overlays on screen. I've hesitated to press the button those times and fortunately ended up seeing the replay. Give it a try.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
This isn't a bug, more of a graphical glitch. I was pitching last night from the outfield view so I can see the fans behind home plate. One of them was walking down the aisle to their seat. When they appeared to reach their seat it looked like the got sucked into a black hole the way they shrunk to nothing. What looked like that spectator model was then sitting in the seat. Happened sort of quick and was not my initial focus on the screen but looked a bit odd.Comment
