Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I guess I should report all bugs, big or small, rare or common... (the more fixed, the merrier):
I pinch hit Chris Duncan a half inning prior to pulling a double switch. I replaced him with another pitcher between innings, but for some reason Duncan was out there pitching. I said "ehh what the hell" and went on to throw a pitch that was fouled off, and then there was finally the cut scene with LaRussa calling time for the double switch, putting in Ryan Franklin appropriately. It was just weird that it took a pitch to get 'er done.

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
There is a roster glitch. I added all the players out of FA to their particular teams
and traded players from teams that they were on other teams minor league.
Now I have a glitch on Cleveland Indians and Tampa Bay because I put Juan Salas on Cleveland and it says I have too many players in AA. How do i GET RID OF IT?
ANYONE from SCEA or Knight
Please help
Thanks

Another little thing. I was brought in as a pinch hitter. I stayed in the game at SS though. However, every time I batted after that, the player stats overlay screen was displaying PH.Last edited by sbauer318; 03-01-2009, 10:09 AM.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I've done several double switches and they've worked fine. Was thinking in bed last night (damned game, lol) if it has something to do with messing up the double switch, how it's done and I'm going to experiment with it this a.m. I'll do a double switch until I use up my pitchers/bench.Last edited by jim416; 03-01-2009, 11:25 AM.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
I was pitching against Ryan Howard, he swings and hits the ball right on the plate, bounces back and on the plate again. None of my players were able to move and he got credited a single.

I have seen this twice. One time in each of the first two games I have played. Unlike yours, the CPU was attempting to bunt and both times the ball landed in front of the plate, then rolled onto it and stopped at the edge. In replay, the ball is moving enough it looks like it should have rolled off the plate, but just suddenly stops on the edge.
The rest happened just like the video, not able to control any fielders and the runner safe at first.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
double switch experiment
Hamels for Park, Coste subs for Ruiz...........worked.
Romero for Park, Jenkins in for Victorino......worked.
Eye for Romero, Dobbs in for Feliz.....worked.
DIFFERENT TEAMS
Mock in for Lannon, Hernandez in for Belliard...worked
Shell in for Mock, NIeves in for Flores...worked.
Estrada in for Mock, Harris in for Willingham...worked.
DIFFERENT TEAMS
Lowry in for Lincecum, Holm in for Molina....worked
Yabu in for Lowry, Roberts in for Rowand....worked.
Taschner in for Yabu, Velez in for Burris....worked.
So, not sure what may have caused it, but to correct a glitch the dev has to be able to recreate it exactly as it happened. I used both UP on DPAD to do this and the old way, pressing START and going to the pen.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
When I was playing the 25 inning game I never bothered to look at their bullpen. Maybe they ran out of pitchers. Going forward, though, it would be cool if the dev team could look into calling spring training games that go long.

Do you remember what stadium as this might be a stadium specific bug. Remember the pop up bug in High Heat. I think it was only Wrigley field only.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
EXPERIMENT.
Batting as both teams trying to lay a bunt down on top of the plate, lol. What the heck, worth a try. Doing it in ATT to see if perhaps it's not a glitch in this stadium.
Well, after bunting with each team for four innings (24 bunts), nothing down on the plate. So that didn't work.
However, not one animation like last year kicked in where the catcher or pitcher goes into that long windup and the runner is safe at first. All the bunts that were laid down were handled properly, even had five hits off bunts that were handled correctly, but the bunts were either placed well and a speedy runner.Comment

RTTS Baserunning. If you hit Select to turn on the baserunning controls, the controls sometimes gets stuck on the screen during the switch from stealing controls to standard baserunning controls with the yellow checkered transition colors. Sometimes the overlay will stay throughout the game, even during at bats.Comment

Re: ***Official Bugs/Glitches Thread***
Jim had brought up a point that these bugs could be stadium or situation specific. So if you are going to list a bug, list the stadium, teams, current score, day/night game, inning, if its day game then what sky (clear, cloudy, overcast).
More information the better. Someone may try to replicate the bug and find that it doesn't happen because they didn't have the exact situation that you were in."I am more valuable to my team hitting .330 than swinging for home runs." - Roberto Clemente
