That clip cracked me up! The runner was trying to crash into the catcher, but looks like he trips!

Anyway, it's good to have screen shots / video of these errors. Definitely should help the devs out. Wish I had one of my outfielder doing "zig zags" to get the ball (which turned a single into a triple).

A few things, not sure if they have been mentioned:

Hit 5 HR's with Xavier Nady but it took one away as it lists him as having 4 in ST.

Also, whenever I pitch Mariano in ST it says afterwards that he pitched three times as many innings as he really did. For instance, on Day A if I pitch him 1 inning, and then I want to warm him up on Day B it says he pitched 3 innings instead of one. Or 9 instead of 3. Or 12 instead of 4. Yet it has the right amoint of innings correct on the "Statistics" screen on the main menu of the Season page.

small bug, currently playing a game vs CPU (Mariners @ Reds) Mariners CPU has the manager make a trip to the mound and with his jacket on it is a plain blue jacket and morphs back and forth from plain blue to a Mariner jacket

Major problem... read back a few pages and didn't see it so I'll post it. Very sorry if it has been reported already. It seems that when I am editing my pitching rotations in my franchise I hit the AAA closer my game shuts off and goes to my PS3 XMB. The game will not restart unless I restart the whole system. It has occurred twice now. Very strange and has the potential to be very troublesome.

when pitching from the outfield or pitcher view the pitcher is way smaller than the hitter,catcher,ump

dont know if mentioned,but when my pitcher got a hit he changed jackets like 3 times on base.

I, too, have seen this happen with Francona on trip to mound. Wearing gray sweatshirt then jacket magically appears on him halfway to mound.

I also had an odd stat issue in spring training, I simulated spring training through the last game and checked the spring stats before advancing to the regular season.

1B Jeff Bailey led the Red Sox in INNINGS PITCHED!!

He went 3-1, 2.05 ERA and made 8 starts, the other 5 starters only made 7 starts.

He also had 28 AB's hitting .286

I don't know where this came from, he wasn't listed as a pitcher anywhere in the game.

Every item here is for rtts mode
1. Directives on where to stand do not always show up
2. As a SS balls hit past me to the OF will cause me to freeze until they throw the ball
3. Settings for preferences on plate coverage seem to switch back to the default for the difficulty level vice what was saved from session to session. It does stay for a given session once reset.
4. (enhancement). There needs to be an option to turn off the red circle around the ball.
5. (enhancement). There needs to be an option to force baserunning controls to stay in the same orientation. In other words, don't be screen orientation relative.

I played a game yesterday against my friend (same console not online) - there was a man on 1st & 2nd - 1 out .. . ball hit in the hole between ss and 3rd baseman - I was in control of the SS, both the 3rd baseman and SS went to cover their bags - I couldn't control him (SS)- it would have been a tough play . . .but the computer dragged my guy over to 2B. I do not play with fielding assist either. Really pissed me off - he ended scoring of course - besides that just the bat hovering in mid air like last year when D Lee was up at bat

A couple of very minor 'glitches':

1) I played my first ST game last night and the attendance was shown as 49,139...that stadium looks like it could hold 7,000 tops.

2) When a player goes near the outfield fence, he is in shadow even though the sun is on the same side of the fence (ie. the shadow should be behind the fence, not in front of it). There is no shadow on the ground in front of the fence, it's just that the player appears to go into shadows when he goes near the wall.

Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention to what stadium I was in...Clearwater maybe?

I was told I had to post this in this thread so...


I play RTTS almost exclusively and I have seen just a ton of issues. Well a few issues played out many many times. The freezing during the load screen happens to me about once every 7 appearances. It is so frustrating having to reload the PS3 constantly. Also, my roommate has a 3B and every so often he goes missing from the batters box to start BP.

The most frustrating and unacceptable one is the stat glitch. RTTS is so much about your stats, yet I am constantly not being credited for things I do, or being credited too much for what I do.

Luckily the game copy is my roommates and not mine. I was planning on going to pick up the game when I get home for spring break, but I think I am going to hang onto my money this time. I can't shell out 60 bones for a game that can't keep my stats.

I'm not trying to be a ***** because The Show 08 was the sole reason I was convinced to buying a PS3. But I just can't take a game with glitches like this. I pray for a BIG patch because it sounds like a lot of people are having problems. Love the gameplay and presentation. Can't stand the glitches

First off...AWESOME game...best sports game I've ever played by far (and I go back to the Atari days).

But a quick glitch I noticed last night (sorry if it's already been mentioned). When I brought my closer in with the game tied and the bases loaded in the 9th inning last night, he gave up a walk-off grandslam...and received the loss. Technically, the pitcher who put the winning run on base should've received the loss, not my closer who only gave up the winning home run.
