Ryan Zimmerman, just left handed.
As far as his appearance, I used the random appearance button to generate him. And yes he's huge. I made him 6'5" 250 lbs.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
As someone who didn't play MLB 08 (or any previous versions), I have a few RTTS questions:
1) When I'm on base, I can never see the third base coach's signs. Am I supposed to look for them when that dialog box comes up that explains the signs? Once I close that box, it seems all he does is clap his hands a few times and that's it. Am I missing something?
2) As a pitcher, do you have to hit a button to get into fielding position after you throw a pitch or does it do that for you automatically? I know that in the beginning your fielding and reaction time must be pretty low, but I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if balls that are hit right up the middle are "supposed" to get by?
Thanks!Comment

These are some good questions. I wish someone could answer them. Especially the fielding. As someone who didn't play MLB 08 (or any previous versions), I have a few RTTS questions:

Well I got starter status. First outing I just bombed. Couldn't have been worse. Got yanked after 2 innings and when I went to talk with the coach he got pissed and skip my next start. 2nd start I came out like Satchel Paige. I went 7 innings before I got in trouble and the reliever had to come rescue me. I was putting them down. A great start. One thing I notice about my guy is he really falls apart with men on the bag. I mean that first start I wasn't even moving the stick for the pitches, keeping the ball dead center AND was hitting the sweet spot of the pitching meter and the ball was STILL flying all over the place. Barely in the zone, out the zone, whatever. That second start I really worked hard to keep guys off the bases. Some got on but I still managed. 7 innings of work with 5 hits and 6 K's and no runs is pretty good. Hope I can continue the work.Comment

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Nice to see you bounced back. I just had career game. 8 IP, 8 hits, 11 K's on 123 pitches. Went one batter into the 9th gave up a line drive single off the firstbasemans glove. Skip came and got me but the bullpen brought it home for me. Real pitchers duel. We won the game 2-0. But I putched a gem. Really proud of that one.Moderator

Have you tried R2? I have a CP who is brutal on those hits but I can't get one to try it now..

I am now the starting LF for Akron. Been up and down at the plate. Hitting about .255.
I did hit this 411 foot bomb vs. Trenton.

Re: MLB 09 "Road To The Show" thread
Created my guy as a 3B and got drafted by the Twins. Had a amazingly poor spring, hitting around .100, no HR's, and around 6 RBI's. Signed one year contract for AA bench. After a month now, I'm starting most every game and hitting around .280.Comment

That is a monster!
