This has probably been posted before but, I played the first game of my Yankees season in Baltimore and thought it was cool that they had the "Opening Day" logo painted in the Grass of Camden Yards.

I was playing a game and apparently it was Jackie Robinson day. They mentioned it a lot throughout the game. When Lastings Milledge stole second standing up Rex said something like "His play would make Jackie Robinson very proud".Comment

I guess this is a "little thing" in it's own way, but more than anything it just made me start laughing. It's the first time I've heard this from the announcers...
"And right here they're doing the little things well by moving the baserunner up to third. I wouldn't be surprised to see a discussion about this online. They can can call it the 'little things' thread."Comment

Ok I must have no life but I've just spent the last hour reading all 35 pages, great stuff guys. I haven't seen a lot of these you are mentioning but I look forward to seeing them. Some I have seen though that weren't mentioned.
I struck out Ryan Howard for the 3rd time and as he's walking back to the dugout he gets frustrated and breaks his bat over his knee and then goes down the steps into the dugout.
I called on a pinch hitter late in the game and he comes up the steps and is putting his helmet on as he's headed for the on deck circle. It's almost as if he just got the word from the manager to get his equipment and go into the game.
It was the last game of a series on the road and I'm losing in the 9th inning. Matt says "Well they will be headed for the airport after the game and the way they've played it will be a silent plane ride back to Atlanta"
There really is no telling all they have in this game, we probably have just scratched the surface honestly.Comment

I have no idea if this has been mentioned or not. I searched this thread for the word "football" and nothing relevant showed up.
I was playing as the Rays VS. the Brewers, a couple of weeks ago, and I sat the controller down for about 25 minutes. When I started paying attention again Crawford, Upton and Joyce took their gloves off and Crawford held onto his, while the other two tossed theirs down. Next, Upton got into a wide receiver's stance a few feet away from Crawford and Joyce lined up in front of him like he was a corner back. Crawford held his glove like a football and then Upton ran a quick slant on Joyce and Crawford threw his glove to him like a football. Upton caught it and ran about 10 or 15 yards and then celebrated a little bit, while Joyce shook his head in disappointment. Then, Upton and Joyce jogged back, the guys switched positions (I can't remember who lined up where) and they ran another route. After that, it cut away from the outfield.

Has anyone noticed in the game if the Tomahawk ever moves on the Braves scoreboard like in real life? I noticed in the game that the Liberty Bell moves at Phillies games so thought I would ask.Comment

Yesterday I caught a ball with JD Drew out in right field, and after the play the out field camera showed him walking back into position, then out of nowhere a fan popped his face right in front of the camera shot. It was hilarious. Much like u would see at a game when a person sticks his ugly mug in front of the camera when the camera man is trying to get a shot. It was quite amusing. LaterComment

The last two home games at Yankees stadium in my franchise the crowd starts chanting "Robinson, Robinson, Robinson" then after the pitch the camera will cut to Cano and he steps back and waves at the crowd and everyone cheers.Comment

Re: ***Official "It's The Little Things..." Thread***
Ok I just saw something that blew me away, some of you might not think it's that big of a deal but to me it showed me the amazing detail that went into making this game.
I pretty much have lit Brett Myers up, 7 runs through 1 2/3 innings and they finally went to the pen. They brought in Chan Ho Park and he looked disinterested coming into the game, as he was coming in from the bullpen he dropped his glove and had to bend down and pick it up before taking the ball from his manager.
I thought that was pretty cool.Comment
