Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
That's cool then. It would be totally bad judgement/business for SCEA to not produce the game for the PS2.
(And on a side note I just hate when people throw out the word "********" in that manner. I've worked with some phisically/mentally handicapped people including kids and just find that word offensive. So part of it is me reacting to that)
It's all good.Joshua:

Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
I can't believe how many PS2s still get sold each month. SCEA would be idiots not to release a version for a console with 130 million+ owners and still growing. Especially for people with regular SDTVs, you're not going to be able to appreciate the graphic upgrade as much between PS2 and PS3 anyway.
(I also can't believe people buy a PS3 and do nothing with it except play The Show. That takes special effort to ignore the entire boxed and downloadable game catalog and Blu-Ray utility. It's like buying a Ferrari and only using it to buy groceries down the block.)Comment

Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
I have an SDTV and just got a PS2 a couple of months ago. It's a great console. I always regretted getting rid of it for a 360 so I was stoked when I opened up a new PS2 slim Christmas morning.
There's so many great games for the system that you can get dirt cheap now. And, when a game like The Show drops for $30 and is nearly just as good as the PS3 version, well, that's just something you can't get with the current consoles (nothing against either 360 or PS3).Currently Playing:

Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
I have a 360 sitting in a box in my closet...it's been there for two years while I've been playing NCAA, Madden, and The Show on PS2, and I won't change until those three games stop being made for the PS2. I've tried the 360 versions of NCAA and Madden, and I've played 2k, and all of them pale in comparison to the PS2's gameplay...so oh well.Comment

Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
okay, considering i have played MLB 08 the show on the ps2 again, i think im gonna save up for a PS3. I know I said that im wasn't going to do that, but playing the Ps2 version made me feel absolutely horrendous. That game was just not good. So, anyway, if the PS2 version shows extreme improvement, ill get it. But if not ill let it collect dust or just sell it.Fans of: Braves, Falcons, Lakers, Angels, USC Trojans

I hear ya. I have NCAA and Madden 09 on PS2 after trading in the 360 versions and am very happy I made the switch. I really only play APF 2k8 and NHL 08 on my 360.I have a 360 sitting in a box in my closet...it's been there for two years while I've been playing NCAA, Madden, and The Show on PS2, and I won't change until those three games stop being made for the PS2. Re: PS2 vs. PS3 version
One thing that has to be considered is the release date of the PS4. The most accurate estimate I have seen is sometime between 2011-2012 with the new XBOX appearing around 1 year prior to the PS4. I'll go out on a limb and predict it will be released around Christmas 2011.
In addition, I personally prefer to buy a mature system with enhanced features, storage and hardware issues resolved. So I figure I will not be buying a PS4 until 2012-2013. So it appears I will probably not be buying The Show PS4 until March 2013.

Honestly there is no VS, because the PS2 can;t hold the PS3 version's jockstrap.
If you only have a PS2 then you can;t do nothing but enjoy the PS2 version.N.Y Mets
