Well what went over Inkcils head was that my original intention in that post was to stick up for him.........apparently it wasn't recognized and thus I wasted my time.

^^I think you need to reread my posts and yours. We have the same exact opinion, that it shouldn't be a top priority and other things are more important, I wouldn't care one way another if it was in the game. You don't expect me to take offense to someone who tells me to go a corner and then agrees with me in the same post.

And how exactly are you sticking up for someone when you tell them to go to a corner?

Why are you still talking to me? At this point, I don't have anything new or exciting to add to make you happy. I'm NOT going to go back and re read our posts as you keep suggesting I do, and I honestly don't care that our opinions match.

Even if SCEA were to include a generic "World Cup" mode to get around the tournament licensing issue, MLBPA rights would only allow them to include MLBPA members on the rosters. This would mean that many international teams were full of fake players.

I could care less whether you recognize we have the same opinion or not. That is your problem. Just don't expect people not take offense when you use the corner line.

Bottom line is they couldn't include it even if they wanted.

I did. But I don't see any reason to jump the man's case over it. He posted nothing different then what you'll find in the wishlist thread that will be created shortly. Heck, he hasn't stated anything different then whats been mentioned in any thread that has to do with bugs/glitches (lineup issue, game-time issue)

Maybe it wasn't the best way to open his "request", but he didn't say through a virtual fit like we see all to frequently when someone is wanting something added to the game that has been omitted.

I know I get what your saying Country, that is why I apoligized for being a little hostile initially. When I read the first sentence initially it came across to me as saying how could they not include this kind of thing to the developers. Clearly he meant it more as a wishlist kind of thing than complaining which is getting old to me.

I just want people to appreciate the work the developers have done and realize that alot of the stuff they got in they probally were barely able to get in. Another gamemode would not have been easy to get in even if they had they rights.

Bottom line let's just end this bickering.

Wow, really. I had no idea. I wonder if 2k6 had a bunch of fake players in its WBC mode. I think the global response had been very positive to WBC and I hope that MLBPA would understand that allowing WBC (with accurate rosters) to be in games only adds to the baseball experience.

2K6 did have fake players for the teams that did not have players who were part of the MLBPA (can't really remember what teams) Its easy for Konami to make a WBC game because they have the licenses for NPB and MLB players which means they have teams like DR,PR,USA, Canada,Japan and Venezuela who are mostly MLB and NPB players. The others I'm guessing would be made up of generic players and players who play in the MLB and NPB.

I wonder then if it will be in Pro Spirits this year. That would be wild. When u go to the mlb website they are fully advertising/marketing/pumping-up the WBC so they should work together to make it easy for anyone making a MLB game to incorporate the WBC.

There's also the issue of teams with MLB Minor League players (that have not played a major league game) representing their countries.

If that player can't be placed on a minor league team in an MLB licensed product, then there is no chance that they'll be placed in the game to represent a country.

My guess is that the WBC will be available to play in the upcoming MLB Power Pros game but I wouldn't be surprised if its only in the japanese version not the N.A version. I really hope the new Pro Yakyuu Spirits has it but they would have to get the MLBPA licence on their own, only reason they get to use the MLBPA licence for MLB Power Pros is because 2K lets them use it so I doubt the WBC would be in Pro Yakyuu Spirits.

This is all good info but interesting at the same time bc as I am watching WBC I see that the final stats for today's starter for the Dominican Republic were presented by MLB The Show 09.
