Yeah I think that's the pattern I'm seeing from the thread how many people have experienced it like this?

The thread creator said he was on the 40-man roster at the beginning of spring, but never made it to a MLB game until he was called up at the conclusion of the AAA season. Then it crashed on him after his first MLB game. So you don't have to be in the MLB at the start of the season for it to crash on you, maybe just on the 40-man roster.

I just made my MLB opening day roster (year 2011), it's the first time I've even been on the 40-man, I'm gonna sim the year tonight and see if mine crashes.

Yea, looking at this thread along with other boards it seems being called up to the Majors is a common factor along with the dreaded 9/14,15 date. Glad my pitcher is pitiful for now. I've been saving numerous backups, but it looks like that might not even help.

Just had this happen last night. Holy **** I am in shock Like I wasn't even mad, I mean I am but, I had read about it but I was kind of like "Oh, that won't happen to me." I played 4 years, EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. This needs to be patched ASAP once the guys get back from vacation. Judging by the way they've gone about things before and how good of a job that they've done with this game, I am confident they'll get it straightened out. I just hope my RTTS isn't doomed and I won't have to start all over.

For anyone who cares, it happened to me on September 14th, 2012. I think we're seeing a pattern here. I was on the Pirates for most of the season, but got sent down to AAA for a month and a half for some fine tuning. Got the September call back up, played until the 14th and then disaster struck.

I'm working on my RTTS (in AAA in year 3 right now) and I'm wondering if I have multiple backup saves (I have about 8 going I think because of the Auto Save feature) and I get the crash, will I be able to load an older save and get past it??

Or should I just put my career on hold and continue playing after a patch?

I'm loving this mode right now so I don't really want to quit, but if I get the crash, I am definitly not going to want to start over with another player.

We should just rename it RTTAAA. Seriously, I've been doing the same thing with Multiple saves, but have been wondering also, if you can load a previously saved backup game and be alright. I could have sworn I read different, that if you have multiple saves and you encounter the dreadful Crash and Burn effect, you'll be able to load up from an older save. I think a few people were not only able to load from a previous save but override the Crash and Burn and continued their RTTS.

If it happens (hopefully it won't), give it shot!

I am in my 4th total season, second in the majors, made it through the first season in the majors ok now in the second year I can't make it past Sept. 14th 2012, crashes back to XMB. I had a couple of back up saves and they do the same thing when I hit that date. Hope this is patchable because I don't want to start over.

I was simming a season on Franchise, and went to check my AA line-up. There was barely anyone on it, and I tried to change the batting order, resulting in the crash. So I'm thinking it's relating to the rosters being incomplete for the RTTS version of it.

I hope that's all it is. That would probably be pretty easy to patch, wouldn't it? You might be on to something here.
