Re: Disabled list broken?
The games roster logic has changed some since the inclusion of 40 man rosters... it is a new feature, and thus governs it all now I am sure ... thus why it is effected globally more than likely.
Thus why there was no 40 man rosters last year, and no effect to the 25 man.Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 03-11-2009, 12:59 AM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Jokes aside, it appears my beloved franchise mode has been hit with quite a few little bugs and omissions. It was kind of my fear when I heard about all the stuff they added.
All the more reason for people to wait to use Knight's rosters, I guess...lol (wait, Knight....are you behind this? Is it a scheme?...j/k)
Oh well, it happens...but I really hope this kind of stuff can be fixed. It's a big part of roster management.Comment

Re: Disabled list broken?
I'm not sure if this is a problem for MLB rosters in this game, but its NOT for AAA teams. I had Brent Clevlen get hurt on my AAA team, and I was able to call up a player from AA to replace him. The management screen said that AAA Toledo had 26 active players, but it allowed me to carry all 26, and still play the games.Comment

So, the bug as it stands is:
- Player on 60 day DL counts against the 40 man roster.
- For purposes of signing free agents to replace an injured player, players on DL count against the 25 man roster limits. (I tried again after promoting someone to take the injured MLB player's spot. Even though the AAA roster now shows 24/25 players in the breakdown, the game will not allow me to sign a FA.)
So, I can continue my game without to much trouble at this point, but if the injuries were to start to stack up, you'd end up with some seriously shorthanded minor league teams.Impact de Montréal

It is a problem. Your minor league teams still have to play games, even if you're not controlling them. If you can't sign players to replace injured players, your teams are going to become more and more shorthanded as the season goes along.Impact de Montréal

Re: Disabled list broken?
You're right. You can bring up a player to replace the injured guy.

You should still be able to sign a scrub(or anyone!) to fill in any injured slots....then have to make a decision when the player is healed and ready to come off the DL.
Even if they let us release DL players(not realistic I know...but since the CPU doesn't sign players during the season...we could use that as a DL)...then we could at least sign someone. Not perfect...but if the problem is too complex to fix in a patch...that would work.

Re: Disabled list broken?
Ah ha!
The 60 man DL is working. The trick is that I had to sim to the next day. (Using the "Sim To Date" option on the day I had already played, so as an aside, could we please change that to "sim through date", or change its functionality? Because the current wording implies that the day you choose won't be simmed, but it most certainly does get simmed.) The next day the 40 man roster spot was cleared.
So it seems that the only actual bug is that players on both disabled lists are counting against the organization's overall player limit, aka it's impossible to sign someone to replace an injured player unless you cut a healthy player, which defeats the entire purpose.
By the way, is there a way to see how many people are on your 40 man roster that I'm missing?
Edit: SCRATCH THIS POST. I went to play my next game and got the 41 men on 40 man message. So the 60 day DL is not working.Last edited by Azamien; 03-11-2009, 10:23 AM.Impact de Montréal
