Re: Disabled list broken?
Me too. Mine started in high school with Hardball 4 and 5. I'd spend study hall writing out newspaper stories recapping the previous nights game, which included quotes from the players, managers, etc. Good times. These days, I don't quite get that involved, but I do host radio shows while I cook or clean the house.Comment

It was great. They stuck me in a booth for 8 hours with only a lunch break and two trash pick-up breaks. We could "do assignments" while we were in there. Fortunately, the guy running it didn't have a clue as to what those assignments were...lol. So guess what I did
I spent three days doing the exact thing I was sent there for in the first place...lol. Gotta love misplaced discipline
I still find myself "interviewing" or "recapping" while getting ready for bed or taking a shower...lol. Especially after an exciting game.

lol...I actually got handed "ISSP" (In-School Suspension Program) for 3 days for doing basically the same thing in one of my English classes (Tried to pass it off as a writing assignment to no avail).

Re: Disabled list broken?
Has anyone been able to find out how the CPU is managing its rosters? Is it able to assign someone to the 60 day dl and then sign a replacement or is it playing shorthanded as well (at least in one of the minor league teams)?Comment

Re: Disabled list broken?
Here is the message from Russell in case you missed it...
There isn't a single problem, glitch, bug, or issue that we aren't aware of. If its in the bugs, and glitch's threads we know about. Now for the new members who just joined and for those of you who have not seen me post about this. The dev team is on a much needed break until the end of the month. We are very aware of the issues that people are having but I can't comment on every single thread that pops up over time. If you posted it on the boards we are aware of it. At this time that is all I can say.Last edited by 42; 03-17-2009, 04:47 PM.Comment

Re: Disabled list broken?
i think people may be overreacting a bit this isn't a franchise ending bug. while this is unfortunate, the easiest way around this is to simply drop your least talented AA player from your team and move your 40th player off the 40 man roster. you do run the risk of losing him via waivers, but it has been my experience that players rarely get claimed off waivers, especially when they are the type of fringe 4A type player or very inexperienced minor leaguer that you would need to remove from the 40-man.
hopefully this does get fixed eventually though, because it pretty much renders the 60-day DL redundant.Comment

Re: Disabled list broken?
It's not just the 40 man roster. In fact, that's the lesser of the two bugs as far as I'm concerned. Injured players counting against the active rosters is far bigger, because it means you can't sign a healthy player to replace an injured one. That means your rosters are going to be shorthanded. That's bad news, especially when it comes to pitchers.Comment
