Ha, I love how other people also raised Hoffpauir's stats, so did I!

Through ~60 games, here's the notables from my team, since others expanded their thoughts:

Soriano: 60-day DL after playing about 10 games
Bradley: Batting .380 and leading the league, also about 15 homers
Ramirez: .375 and 2nd in the league, 20 homers lead the league. Was a triple-crown candidate for first 30 games until he hit a cold streak.
Lee: Batting .240 and has been pretty bad. In last 2-3 games he's coming out of what seems like a month-long cold spell, but he's a long way from good.
Theriot: Batting under .200 and have been benched. I play Fontenot at SS and Miles at 2b, both of which are near .300.

Because Lee has been terrible, I generally play a line-up like this:

    Miles
    Fukudome
    Bradley
    Ramirez
    Lee
    Soto
    R. Johnson / Hoffpauir
    Fontenot

    Pitching wise, Zambrano is 8-2 with a 2.4 ERA, Harden is 5-2 with a 2.6, Dempster is 8-4 with a 3 ERA, and Lilly is 3-5 with a 5+ ERA. I'm about 15 games over .500.

For relief pitching, Marmol is a closer and a perfect 16/16 in saves. I'm using Visciano as set-up man, but I might switch to Samardzija soon because he's been solid all year. Heilman and Gaudin have both been good, but their pitch meter moves sooooo fast from the stretch that it's not as fun to play with them. Greg and Marshal have been bad, I don't use them if I'm in a position to win the game.

Record-wise it looks about realistic, the big outliers I see are Ramirez and Bradley's average, and Zambrano and Harden's ERA, which aren't that obnoxiously impossible.

I ended up dropping Marshall to the bullpen and brought Chad Guadin as my 5th starter.. attribute wise, guadin was just better all around.. harden is 2-0 in 3 starts for me right now.. era is 2.1 and has 20 k's.. so far so good... Gregg is my setup man, he's been alright so far.. i put marmol as my closer and samardzija is my 1st go to guy in the pen... my lineup is broken down like this

      Soriano
      Theriot
      Lee
      Bradley (against RHP's) A-Ram against LHP's
      A-Ram
      Soto
      Fukudome
      Fontenot

My bench consists of C-Wellington Castillo, INF -Elvis Andrus(aquired via trade) INF - Josh Vitters, OF- Reed Johnson, OF- Joey Gathright

So far Soriano leads my team in HR's, Soto is 2nd in the MLB in avg. and Bradley is 1st on my team in RBI's..i'm 8-3 so far, 2nd place behind the Reds who are at 9-2 with a 3 game series between us coming up next.

Harden's been great now for me the last two starts. He's 6-7 overall, ERA probably in the low 4s, so he's definitely coming around finally. He just lost his last start despite going 7.1 IP, 10k, 2 hits. I just couldn't score. He left down 1-0, and I lost 2-1.

Bradley's not been hitting for good average for me (.267, but 12 HR). Soto's got the best average in MLB (.372).

I'm still in ST but Harden has been decent ERA around 4 in 17 innings pitched. Gregg and Cotts haven't given up run in 6 appearances. Marshall has been pretty bad for me so far. In 4 starts his ERA is around 6 in 17 innings. His last two starts he has been lit up for 10 runs in 9 2/3 innings.

Re: Question for those of you using the Cubbies.

Harden is flat out filthy if you use him like real life. You can't let him go much more than 5 innings (6 at the most). Don't hold back in the 5 innings he is out there, though. He also takes more time to rest than the others, so have a competent #6 guy.

Marshall has been horrible for me if I use him as a starter, but as a reliever he is OK. Anything more than an inning or two and he gets shelled.

Cotts has been about 50/50 good/terrible for me. You never know what you'll get, so I don't use him much.

Gregg has been very reliable in my franchise. I use Marmol to close, but Gregg has been good in a set-up role. I go to him quite a bit in the 8th, and only once all year has he disappointed. I'm about 40 games into my franchise.

I think it is all in how you use them. The two guys I can't seem to play with are Zambrano and Lee. I had to trade both - I couldn't do anything with either one. At least both brought back a good haul.

I like Marshall as I like pitching with control guys. Marshall was the first pitcher I tossed a complete game with on legend and it was also the first legend game I won. However, Marshall has to be right on with location to pitch well, realistic in my opinion.

Gregg is actually my best guy out of the pen. Cotts is either good or bad for me.

Harden usually pitches well for me, I'm not lights out with him though.
