Yes, a simple solution in the future of the series, would be to allow you to change the time of day before you start your game.

In the future, I would love to see some rainouts, and double headers for fun (I'm not asking for that in a patch, that is for next year).

Re: Will there even be a patch?

I think the game is great but I would love to see a patch. I think the error system is the worst I've seen in any of the Show games for the past four years. I've played 28 games in a season now and have committed just 2 fielding errors! To make matters worse, neither was actually scored an error! I see plenty of throwing errors but booted balls for the user that are actually scored as errors is absolutely terrible. The fielding error slider doesn't work at all either for the user who uses manual fielding. It's bad.

A few other minor things could be patched like reducing the number of passed balls. The cpu can make more than one mound visit without taking out their pitcher. So can the user in the NL if they select double switch and cancel. There are also issues with some player names and stadiums that could possibly be patched. Plus the schedule issue.

i would be shocked if there wasn't a patch. As there is alot of things that need to be fixed in this game, only thing is we won't see it til mid to late May is guess.

Wow, I wasn't aware of the error problems this year (haven't played enough games). Baseball games have historically always screwed up errors, (and usually save situations). Yea that needs patched.

Yea, brotha, I have a bad feeling you may be right. Mid to late April if we're lucky. I will just have to start my franchise when Knight's done, and restart it if there is enough reason to do so.

Maybe Russell should think about opening a patch fix thread in that feedback sticky he's got going on at the top, i know i've got a few things i could list. Cpu roster control "ON" lineup bug would be at the top, and don't even bother mentioning to me about Knights roster fix.

Can someone tell me what this historical stats bug is? I haven't noticed any stats issues (aside from stats in the user profile). But would like to know if I'm missing something.

when you check a player card his career stats are messed up, like A-Roid has Texieras hr stats, stuff like that.

ps: by the way do i dare ask how you came up with Bigwilly as your nick, lol.

BW..there is a workaround in the roster sub-forum to get updated rosters and the corrected historical stats.

                      EDIT: here's the link:

                        Country,
That work around no longer works since the new roster update yesterday. It is posted on the thread.

Lol, yea everyone mentions that like its a cure all (although I am grateful to Knight don't get me wrong for doing what he could do), but that's not the point is it. Soriano or whomever should have any rating given, and bat leadoff if the CPU roster control ON works. Heck, you should be able to have Augie Ojeda batting clean-up if that's what you want to do with CPU roster control ON. Gotta fix that one in my opinion.

Edit: Yes, you can use two controllers to put the correct lineups in, but that gets old real quick.

You got that right about the 2 controllers. I mean I want to play the game and not waste my time messing with 2 controllers to get the line ups right.

I can deal with all the little glitches like players running through outfield walls, weird double play botches, players in the dugout being the same as on the field, not being alerted that a defensive shift is on (RTTS) etc. These aren't game breakers.

I would however think game breakers like the RTTS Crash and Burn issue and the record play bug will be addressed. Crash and Burn sucks so bad. Throwing away all time spent on your RTTS player is harsh and will dissuade many people from starting a new one. The record bug makes you quit the game and start over. Anything that requires you to quit the game is not good for customers and I would think the dev team would want to address those issues.

There's an incredible amount of assumption in that post.

I like how it's not even opening day yet and people are already writing off this year's game.

EA is one of the most greedy, least customer-friendly game companies in the history of the universe, and NHL 09 had a patch not that long ago. If they can do it, I'm sure SCEA can pull one out since it's STILL MARCH!
