I have had this happen numerous times in my season mode. The announcer says, with a win, my team will be back to .500, even though my team's record was over .500 at the time...I heard this at least 2-3 times...

I think this glitch has to do with my problem...

What game mode did the bug happen in?
RTTS, haven't played any others.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
I'm like 120 games into my first season, and my record in the standings is only 28-28. I went through and actually counted up all wins/losses for myself and the first place team, and I'm the right number of games back. But everyone in my AA league (I'm in TL, as well as the SL) has records that only reflect about 60 games. The EL as well as all other divisions in the higher leagues are correct. I'm still in my first season, so I'm not sure if it's repetitive yet.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Not sure yet.

That's not a bug. Texas and Southern Leagues use a split season format. Somewhere in June, probably late is when the standings reset.

Here's a lineup malfunction. I'm beginning to wonder if there's any logic at all to lineup creation. I'm in my 5th RTTS year with the Seattle Mariners. We have Aubrey Huff DH'ing and Franklin Gutierrez as the backup outfielder. Our regular left fielder tears a hamstring and goes on the 60-day DL.

For some reason, the computer puts Aubrey Huff in Left Field and Gutierrez as the DH. Okay, I get that both have LF as a secondary position but there appears to be ZERO logic in place to put the better defender in the field and the worse defender at DH.

Aubrey Huff:

Speed - 40
Arm Strength - 60
Arm Accuracy - 60
Reaction Time - 35
Fielding - 50

Franklin Gutierrez:

Speed - 70
Arm Strength - 95
Arm Accuracy - 60
Reaction Time - 90
Fielding - 95

This is gonna cost us several games and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I don't get why you guys make such an incredible game but have such obvious and easily remedied errors in such basic logic as this.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? LF went on DL. Computer took the best bench guy who qualified at LF and made him the left fielder. It took the second best player and put them at DH without considering who was the better defender. I assume it happens a lot.

How often can the bug be reproduced? Like I said, it probably doesn't consider defense when creating a lineup which is completely ridiculous.

When I go to the schedule and try to switch between teams, using the left or right trigger, I get booted to the xmb.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Every time I go to the schedule and switch teams with one of the triggers. Happened after I applied the update, it's an old save.

I've heard that franchises still in the first year before the patch are affected. The patch corrected, among other things, an oversight in Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego's schedules (opening series was supposed to have 4 games against each other, it had 3). Correction of said oversight, from what I've heard, causes confusion since there's an extra game that wasn't there before and thus crashing. I can only assume that goes ditto with season mode but I don't know what would make it go bonkers trying to switch between teams.

Mekias, are you controlling the Mariners???? A work around would be to tak the secondary position away from Huff. Will that leave Gutierrez as your backup LFer with LF as his primary position?

I play with ROSTER CONTROL ON and have to go into other teams and make adjustments to force players into the game. It's a workaround.

I play RttS mostly so I have no idea outside of starting the franchise over.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? I went to steal 2nd, but I didn't get a good jump, so I turned and went back. The catcher threw the ball to 2nd, and he threw to first. The ball went over the 1st baseman's head. I ended up on 3rd, and I got credited a steal.

How often can the bug be reproduced? Only happened to me once.

I think i have a glitch, whenever i try to play a scheduled game in my franchise mode, my game crashes it sends me back to my PS3 home screen.

I don't want to start my season again, do i need a patch, update my system, any help will be great.

You must have downloded the 1.06 patch, and tried to play a franchise started before the patch was released. You have 2 choices: 1. Delete the game data, and that will remove the patch. You should then be able to continue your franchise. 2. Start a new franchise.

I don't know if you can call this a glitch, I think it is albeit very small one that isn't that big of a deal and doesn't really need to be fixed. I actually laughed a good bit about it.

I went to sac bunt a runner to second with my Pitcher while playing the Mets, and when Delgado threw the ball to Castillo, the ump called my pitcher (Chan Ho Park) out even though Castillo was a good 3-4 inches off of the bag. The funny thing is that I did it knowing that I would get out, but it would have been nice to have them call Park safe since Castillo didn't tag the base or Park.

I guess I am not the first one to write about the following flaws, but anyways, here we go:

- There is basically no collision detection

- Players can't get rid of the ball quick, if needed, e.g. after the out at first you want to throw to another base, but the first baseman will finish his catching animation first and will then throw.
Another example, runner on third (less than two outs), ball hit in the dirt and is fielded by the pitcher about three meters in front of home plate, facing the catcher. The runner suprisingly tries to score. Here's what the pitcher does: he freezes for a very short time after he fielded the ball spins around (although he's facing the catcher) and then tosses the ball home. The runner of course is safe by a mile.
I guess they should put a "Quick Throw Button" in the game.
