I'm not sure if this has been addressed but to me this is the real only glitch i have found.

On occasion in franchise mode, i will play a game, receive the stats and the result, save the game and then come back later to find that the game was never technically played, no result, no change to the standings, only a change to my players stats and fatigue. All the stats accumlated in the game go towards my players overall stats, but for some reason the game does not count towards my overall record and i have to play it over. It's not a big deal, but just something that is worth clearing up in the next installment of this fantastic franchise!

I'm sure this has been addressed already, but whenever I try and save my Gameplay Settings in my Franchise they never save correctly. Like, the file says it saved and everything is fine but when I restart my PS3 and continue to play my franchise all the default settings are back. I've tried deleting the settings file altogether and creating an entirely new file, but no luck. No matter what the default options always seem to reset.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Save a separate User Settings file if the franchise settings differ from what you use normally. Are you forgetting to load the settings after you boot up?

Dont know if this has been discussed but, I havent seen one cloudy or partly cloudy day since the last day of spring training.
Anyone else?

I am at the end of July in my franchise, and I just played my FIRST one. Every day game I have played, thus far has always been sunny. Then today it was totally gray and cloudy. Very cool looking actually since I have been so used to bright and sunny games.

What game mode did the bug happen in?

Franchise in Spring Training

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

I substituted Nate Schierholtz in defensively in the 7th (NOT pinch hit) for Randy Winn who was batting leadoff. Winn was 1-4 in the game. In the 9th inning Schierholtz came up to bat and flew out. After the game in the box score it said Winn went 1-5 and schierholtz was 0-0. Guys who I had substituted by pinch hitting had correct stats. Next game, I had Eugenio Velez batting leadoff in center field. In the 7th inning, I substituted Andres Torres in for Velez defensively. Velez was 2-3 in the game with 2 singles and 1 run scored. In the 8th, Torres hit a leadoff triple and eventually scored. In the box score after the game, it said Velez was 3-4 with a triple and 1 run scored, while it said Torres was 0-0 with 1 run scored. Whats funny is that Velez was named player of the game because it said he had 3 hits. It is not just a box score error because the statistics screen shows Torres with no triples.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

I have not tested this and I just noticed it in these two games. I will keep an eye out for it. It seems it happens with players who were defensively substituted and not pinch hitting.

When I have a custom sound played that I have starting from a point other than the beginning that I designated on the music editor, in-game the sound is just a loud crackling. the rest of the game there is no more music played for any of my players. I can play the rest of the game just fine, but when I exit the game, before it's over or not, it freezes every time on the loading screen.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Every game I have a player with a song that begins some time other than the beginning.

I posted a similar issue several pages back. Your song may have some bad points that makes the song either quit or not playback at certain points. Mine did the same, plus I couldn't quit without having to reboot the system or play a game without a subsequent freeze. Try deleting and re-copying the song.

A couple of glitches. To go over the template, I wouldn't know how to recreate any of these. They all happened in franchise with one exception, which was an exhibition game with the classic rosters set.

The home run cut scences last long then the home run song. The song should play the same amount of time up until the next batter is due up, or even skip the next batter's music and continue playing the home run song.
What game mode did the bug happen in? Any Game Mode

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? It happens when the players in the dug out are cheering/high fiving the batter that just hit a homer.

How often can the bug be reproduced? Anytime I hit a home run in my home ball park.

Just noticed it when a draft pick I called up due to an injury. Yes, it happened again with the next years drafted players.

Yes.


Drafted players have the wrong audio for their names. An example would be that a player named John Smith would have the audio set to Mark Jones.

This pretty much killed my franchise, because I am not going through and checking all the players audio.

I got a question maybe someone knows. I am trying to start a season but the thing is my 1st and 3rd base coaches are not the real to life coaches. Does this have anything to do with the rosters from SC cause I know the real life coaches are in this game but everytime I try and start a season the fake ones show up.

Something I did to get the real Brewers coaches... it seems that some are wrong no matter what roster I used. So I went into SportsConnect, signed in, and then left without signing out. Coaches were accurate (even had Ken Macha's record as a manager). I believe that this works with all rosters as coaches are not editable (unless they made changes in Franchise).

You'll probably have that happen in RttS as well, this happens with new generated players. Probably unavoidable unless they look into it.

Alright, so here is my situation. This past Sunday, I had just finished playing a game in my season mode with the Yankees. I did sim to date, and the game shut off. I figured the system just need a rest, so I sat it in another room and plugged it back in the next day, and it was fine. I did sim to date after playing a game on Tuesday, and it did it again. I was able to get it to go to the next game, played the next game, and it did it again. That was this past Wednesday. I figured it must have been the system going out of whack, so I gave SONY a call and they said it was a glitch in the MLB 09 game itself. Last time I tried, which was the other day, the game will not let me get past this Wednesday's date, June 17. I figure at some point SONY will download a patch or something, but this really sucks.
