    Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread

What game mode did the bug happen in?Franchise, but I imagine it can happen in exhibition and season modes as well.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? Computer is able to take multiple trips to the mound in the same inning before removing their pitcher. I've seen a team use three trips to the mound before finally removing the pitcher, and this was in the same inning. Can I recreate it? Yeah, if you can put the opposing pitcher in enough trouble during an inning to have the manager come out

How often can the bug be reproduced? I've seen it maybe 1/8 or 1/9 games or so. It seems to happen more often during an inning in which more than three walks are issued.

What game mode did the bug happen in? Franchise, but I imagine it can be in any game mode

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? I hit a batter of the opposing team, and the following clip showed that batter rushing the mound. Everytime this has happened, my pitcher has been ejected, but their batter has not been. Can be recreated.

How often can the bug be reproduced? Because the reactions of the batters to rush the mound seems sporadic after being plunked, it's not something that can be reproduced often, but I along with many others have seen it.

What game mode did the bug happen in? Franchise

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? Hit a single down the 3B line with a batter and rounded the bag before retreating. Right fielder threw the ball in to the 2B, who then turned to throw to 1B and airmailed the ball into the stands. Hitter went to third on the two base error, however was not credited with a hit at all. Replay vault showed "...advanced to 3B on throwing error by RF...." which is correct on the lack of hit as well as the error designated to the RF instead of the 2B. Hard to recreate

How often can the bug be reproduced? Not often. Takes special circumstances.

      Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread

This happens in Franchise with drafted players.

The name glitch: The written name of the player will be different than the audio name. Ex: A player's written name can be Mike Zimmerman and Matt and the PA announcer will call him Miguel Reyes.

Also, ALL players for ALL teams are bald, have skinny necks, wide jaws, are from 5'7" to 5'11" and 160 lbs. to 190 lbs., do not wear batting gloves, have the same batting stances, do not wear anything on their arms, and have regular style pants.

This one is hiring coaches. I could offer Tony La Russa a contract and Jesus Juarez will accept the offer. Sometimes the coaches are also wearing different teams hats. Once, La Russa was wearing a Brewers hat and Dave Duncan was wearing a Thunder hat. (This is just under the coaches menu while showing their pictures. In game, they are wearing the team's hat that they coach.)

This one, I think, happens in any mode. The most recent pitcher that pitched will be in the celebration after you win, twice. Yes, he will congradulate his own clone in the "good game" walk-by.

Players being called by the wrong name....by both the Stadium Announcer and Matt V.
I know this has been mentioned before, but I have never noticed it so much as in my recent RTTS season. I only just started RTTS, and I know it didn't happen nearly as much in my Franchise. It's got to be nearly 50% of the players that are announced incorrectly in RTTS...it was only a handful in Franchise. Might have to do with the fact that more players are CPU generated in the minor leagues?

What game mode did the bug happen in?
        RTTS

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
Happens about 50% of the time.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
        Every game.

          Hey guys,

So I just passed the September call-ups date (9/8 I believe) and everyone on my team is up to full energy, even guys who were dead tired the day before. Is it normal for everyone to be at full energy when all those on the 40 man roster are called up? Also, is it normal for my pitchers to be recovering their energy so quickly now? I pitched with Edwar Ramirez until he had no energy and the next day his bar was full.

          Thanks.

it seems to happen for the first few games after the roster expansion, and the whole team will be fresh and full of energy for a couple or three games, but on my 'chise, they started fatiqguing properly pretty quickly. it's nice to have a full team again for a day or two.

              Video Daily Double here.

In this first pairing of pictures, these were taken from the same game. Notice that one has an attendance of more than 30,000, and the next has the attendance at only 14,000.

              Which game mode?
              Franchise

              How did it happen?
Played out the game and checked the newspaper to see if the attendance was the same. It has happened a lot.

              Can it be reproduced?

It may happen every game to some degree, but all of my franchise games at Miller Park have made the error. I would say yes, it can be reproduced.

              _______

In this video, Saltalamacchia clearly catches the ball before it hits the ground, but it made me secure the out at first. The runner advances from first to second despite the ball being caught.

Runner on first, sacrifice bunt popped up by the pitcher.

              Can it be reproduced?

Heck if I know... probably a universal glitch, so whenever the situation is right.

                Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread

I put this in a while ago. We have seen at least two patches, but this still hasn't been fixed. HIT & RUN is BROKEN in ONLINE play.

What game mode did the bug happen in?
'Online' (tried it offline, but this seems to only happen online.)

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
When I attempt to hit & run, my batter will not swing at the ball. Sometimes, the animation of the swing will happen, but the ball will never be hit. If the pitch is a strike, the announcer will say that is was a called strike, and the slo-mo replay will show that the bat never left my shoulders. This is true even if I power swing (meaning it wasn't just a check swing).

This makes it impossible to hit & run, and very dangerous to steal with two strikes, as I won't be able to swing should the pitch come flying through the zone.
I have had many instances where I swung at ball four, but found myself trotting down to first base. Also, as I was trying to swing at a pitch while stealing, only to miss even though it was right down the middle, I would have to hear Matt say that it was a "called strike three".

How often can the bug be reproduced?
                Always

Can this PLEASE be fixed? This bug makes stealing with a full count useless (you can't hit, you can only walk or strike out). This is the biggest bug in the darn game. Please pay some attention to this!

                  Re: Official Bugs/Glitches Thread

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but recently I've run into a glitch in my 5th season of franchise mode. After spring training I went to finish my lineups and pitching rotations. When I went to set up my AA lineups the slot for my catcher is missing. It's just an empty lineup slot. Whenever I try put my catcher in the slot, the game exits to the XMB. This has happened twice to me.

Also, not a glitch but annoying: check swings never seem to go my way

Just finished a game where I lost 3-2 to the padres. Pena took the loss, can't remember who got the win for the Padres, and Bell got the save. Went through a couple menu's to take a look at the trading blocks and my team. Went back to the schedule and it showed two completely different pitchers in the W-L column and a totally different score. They were both next in line to pitch the following day but for some reason showed as pitching the last game with a completely simmed score. The game I originally played is no where to be found, but my pitcher who started that game is fatigued as if he just pitched as well.

After that, I quit out of the franchise and loaded up my saved game. It is currently set to Auto-Save. When the save loaded up, that game was shown as not having been played yet, but still listed the wrong pitching combination as that day's starters. Garland is still shown as fatigued but the last game the schedule shows him pitching is a week ago.

                      Can you recreate it?
I have an in game save from the game in question. I am going to attempt to recreate it.

My Character was an SP. He spent his first year in AA and started year 2 in AAA. In June of the second year he was injured (broken forearm) and moved to 60 day DL. He returned to play in August in role as relief pitcher. The problem is that the first game he played in since returning "the points earned screen" after the game where the individual components of the points earned or lost in the game was completely blank with the total at the bottom as 0. I proceeded and had him sim to next appearance and he pitched in the his second game since returning, but again the points earned screen was blank with a total of 0. All that happened during the games was ignored. Additionally, while there were only 2 days between the two appearances, my stamina appeared as if he was completely rested. Since I can no longer earn points I cannot progress further.

I have not tried to reproduce this. It took me quite a long time playing to reach this point. This happened today, August 10, 2009.

This is a graphical glitch. The cut scene where the pinch hitter comes up out of the dugout and puts his batting helmet on. I have noticed my last dozen or so games that the helmet is HUGE. It really destroys the cut scene.

This is something I've noticed the last dozen of games, or so. It wasn't doing this before and haven't a clue why this would happen.

Okay, I figure I haven't posted this bug in this thread (I've posted it in the unofficial bug thread) and that I would ignore it hoping it wouldn't happen again, but I've experienced it yet again within the same series.

What game mode did the bug happen in?

Franchise, though I've seen it plenty of times in Exhibition mode.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Basically what happens is I have a pinch hitter for the pitcher in my offensive half of the inning with a reliever warming up. At the end of that inning I'll perform a double switch and keep my pinch hitter in the game. Well when the bug takes effect, what will happen (not every time, but it's happened to me plenty now) is you won't even see my manager come out to perform the double switch, because it actually doesn't happen. My pinch hitter ends up being on the mound, and he stays there for one pitch, whatever it is. Called strike, foul ball, home run... you name it. He's on there for one pitch, and afterward you'll see the cut scene with my manager coming on the mound for the double switch even though I did it between innings. Finally my reliever is on the mound and the appropriate switches are made, but it takes a pitch with a position player on the mound in the next inning for it to take effect.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Not every time, but I bet my bottom dollar if I had a camera ready I could try and recreate it every inning until it happens so I can at least show you what's happening. But it's happened enough for me that I can indeed call it a bug and not just a random occurrence. If anybody else has seen this, please let me know.

But it's happened enough for me that I can indeed call it a bug and not just a random occurrence. If anybody else has seen this, please let me know.
Had this one a while back too (thought I posted it, but I may have forgotten). Not sure what causes it either.

Ironically, on my first franchise with the Nats, it never happened. My second go around, where I controlled my Red Sox, it happened a few times during interleague play. It doesn't seem to be tied to specific innings, players, etc, so I'm not sure how to isolate it.
