After doing so, he will jump two or three times in the air, bringing his legs up bent, against his back upper legs. then he will continue walking towards the batter's box.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?: Before every at-bat, or at least his first in the game.
I'm going to add something to this:

    Team: Atlanta Braves
    Players Name: Yunel Escobar
Signature/Personal Routine: After he swings and puts the ball in play he does a bat flip straight up in the air. If you watch any video highlight of him you'll see it.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Everytime he puts the ball in play.

    Team: Atlanta Braves
    Players Name: Matt Diaz
Signature/Personal Routine: When he's at the plate he leans back like he's trying to stretch out his back with the bat resting on his shoulders. He does this until the pitcher starts winding up.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Typically before each pitch. I'm pretty sure it's on every pitch, but definitely before the first pitch of the at bat.

    Team: Atlanta Braves
    Players Name: Casey Kotchman
Signature/Personal Routine: During his batting stance Kotchman will roll the bat in a small circle. For instance it'll start normal with no movement then he roll it in a circle above his shoulder. (you'll have to see video of this for better understanding)
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Couple times before a pitcher throws the ball, during every at bat.

      Team: Cincinnati Reds
      Players Name: Brandon Phillips
Signature/Personal Routine: He does the father, son, holy ghost cross on his chest and then kisses his necklace.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Before every at bat. Also, when he homers he puts both hands towards the sky like big papi and then blows a kiss to someone behind the Reds dugout.

If someone can explain it better, please do. I tried but after reading it I just couldnt get it right. Thanks.

Re: MLB 2010 Signature Player Animations/Personal Routines Help

        Team: Tampa Bay Rays

        Players Name: Matt Garza

Signature/Personal Routine: His pitch delivery is kind of weird. He holds the ball in his glove directly in front of his face with the open part of the glove facing toward his face & with his other hand on the ball in his glove. He then opens & closes his glove like five or six times very quickly almost like his glove hand was having spasms. He then brings the glove back down to his belt with his other hand still in the glove holding the ball. Then he brings the glove back up to the height of his right ear. Then back down to his belt. As he does that he releases his hand with the ball from his glove & he raises his arm with the ball to make an overhand pitch. His knee on the kick, goes up to the height of the bottom of the letters on his jersey. The release he makes of the ball is almost like a slingshot motion as he brings his pitching hand back before his release. He then falls off the mound with his right leg falling to the side where his foot is actually angled toward first base with only a small gap in space between the right foot & left foot.

What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Every pitch with nobody on base. When there is somebody on base he does the same open & close of his glove routine etc... as stated above, but he starts this from the stretch position with the open end of the glove facing his belt buckle.

Btw... he uses a black glove, not a brown one as he now has in the game.

              Team: Toronto Blue Jays
              Players Name: Roy Halladay
Signature/Personal Routine: In the past you've had it way off. He doesn't raise his hands like he does in the game. He keeps everything tight. He also goes faster in his delivery. Also after the inning is over and he goes back to the dugout he walks slowly. He also never talks to anyone, not even players on the bench. Only while hes conversing with the catcher, or a mound visit.
Here he is pitching from the stretch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvwxqJQnBR0

Not sure if this hs been mentioned.

                Team: Chicago White Sox
                Players Name: Paul Konerko
Signature/Personal Routine: After every pitch, he steps out of the batters box and fixes his batting gloves. Sometimes he does a practice swing before stepping back in.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? After every pitch, swing and a miss, or take.

                  Team: Tampa Bay Rays
                  Players Name: JP Howell
Signature/Personal Routine: He needs his own mind up big time. He starts his wind up at a diagonal angle to the plate. With his right shoulder facing the plate. He still goes at it like he is in the wind up though. He steps back then gets to the position that would be the stretch. He comes around at a 3/4 arm angle and he falls off of the mound while throwing the ball.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? When no ones on base

                    Players Name:
                    Nick Swisher

                    Signature/Personal Routine:
Nick will take a half practice swing outside of the box. Then he'll step in with his back foot first while holding his helmet with his right hand. Left hand pointed out towards pitcher like Thome. He then puts his right hand out as if to ask the ump for time, then he'll bring his hands behind his head to get ready. Just before the pitcher gets ready to deliver his pitch Nick will look up and out over the back of the stadium in honor to his grandparents that past away and were a big part of his upbringing.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?
Before every pitch, Every at bat.

                      Team:
                      St. Louis Cardinals

                      Players Name:
                      Albert Pujols
                      Signature/Personal Routine:
Before coming up to bat, he stands outside the batter's box and spits out something and swings his bat to hit it. Then puts his right foot in the box first then, puts his left foot in the box and as he's doing that, he pulls up on his left pants leg and hits the plate with his bat and gets into stance.

What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine?
Once before every at bat. After that he just stays in the box or comes out and takes a few more cuts.

                        Team: Chicago Cubs
                        Players Name: Carlos Zambrano
Signature/Personal Routine: When walking back into the dugout after an inning he takes his glove off, and then takes his had off. He puts his had on top of his glove, holding them in his left hand and points up to the sky with his right hand.
What game situation(s) and how often does the player(s) perform this routine? Every time he is headed to the dugout.

As a side note, Zambrano will also 1) throw water coolers, 2) break bats over his knee after a strikeout, and last but not least, 3) punch his own catcher if he talks trash to him.

Signature/Personal Routine: When he swings he doesn't finish his swing over his shoulders. He more so kind of hits his tricep with the bat as his follow through. You can see this in all videos.
