Seriously dude, get over yourself.
It is truly amazing to me how there are probably about 5-10% of posters on OS that have absolutely NO reading comprehension skills.

sarge81, please quote and bold the part of countryboy's post that expressed condescending remarks toward anyone, let alone someone that doesnt always agree with SCEA. I have read his post 4 times now and the only thing I can think of is that he said following that business plan would not make you successful. He then goes on to say how he understands where people are coming from but says he doesn't see how it makes any difference to have people complaining on a message board about it.

Either you are having a bad day and are choosing to take anything that doesn't support you 100% to be a condescending remark, or you just have an agenda. This thread is 27 pages long. Do you honestly think that your concerns haven't already been addressed less than 10-15 times in this thread? Do you honestly think it takes more than once or twice or three times for a dev to see a complaint and realize it is valid?

here is my suggestion. If you don't like the way SCEA does business, then you get to have the free will to NOT purchase the game. You are the one that needs to get over himself.

And for the record, NO ONE is saying your complaints aren't valid. NO ONE is saying that SCEA is a God. But they have been very supportive of OS and some of us choose to give them the benefit of the doubt. You seem to just WANT WANT WANT and have no regards to how the company does the other 364 days of the year. but is someone shows support for SCEA they are kissing their a**? Yeah ok.

I don't think anyone will say that every single person in this forum is objective. The argument at hand is that sarge81 took countryboy's post as condescending and a** kissing. Can you read his post and say you agree with sarge81?

again...what you consider putting on a pedestal, I consider showing respect. Different views never hurt anybody though.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Double edged sword. Some people demand refunds like a kid who bought a box labeled 'time machine' which just didn't pan out like they thought it would.

Some people seem to get super pissed when anyone criticizes devs/game flaws like scea is their little brother that can't stand up for himself, which is pretty funny. It's almost as if you think you still have a shot making the cover for '10 and you're doing all you can to seperate yourself from the pack as The Fanboy.

Quick question. Do you think scea cares about either side of of this argument?

Do you expect a refund/apology or a reward/hero cookie for your opinions?

" *ss kissing"......IMO, it read more like being diplomatic...or perhaps taking the high road.....I failed to see any "*ss kissing"....

No. I agree that CB wasn't kissing *** with that post. I was simply making the point that there IS a lot of *** kissing in this forum and sarge81 might have been reading into that post too much.

Every forum here is the same Rudy. There are "defenders" on every board here. I don't get what the agenda is behind the "defenders", developers need to be held to task. Its a win/win when they fix the glaring problems.

There are also the "Spoilers". The people who think every single thing is a game breaker. The people who want to ruin everyone's enjoyment of the game.

Then you have the other 90% who just want to provide constructive criticism so the developers get this stuff right. Honestly, if I were a developer, I would do a diary and update patch progress every 2 days. It takes 2 minutes and builds up plenty of good will. I find no issue holding the developers to task for items that slip past QC that I find in the 1st hour of playing the game.

I haven't found anything glaring wrong with the show. Only know about the things I know about because of what I have read here. I have to say this game plays the best out of the box of any game I've played in a while. NCAA 09 and MLB 2K, I was screaming WTF within the first 45 minutes.

Here is a pretty cool article with a rep from Naughty Dog about interacting with the community and how this is the new era of promoting your product. I think it's a good read and not too long.

EXACTLY, that is what is so frustrating. There isn't anything wrong with the gameplay!

It's all of the behind the scenes stuff that has all of the bugs.

I have never seen a game that plays so great, but has the weirdest bugs/glitches.

Yesterday, Lou Piniella came out of the dugout with a white jacket on. It kept changing from white to Cubbie blue and back again, lol.
This is no big deal, but he stats glitch, lineup/rotation glitch, and those type of things that are "behind the scenes" as you put it aren't fun.
I understand they are doing their best with what they have. They all (not just SCEA) need to start hiring more people and devoting more effort into quality assurance.

Not true imo. The fielding errors are done very poorly on All-Star imo. In 44 season games I have yet to have an officially scored fielding error (at least 12 throwing errors but no fielding errors). I would consider that something wrong with the gameplay. That's my biggest beef as the hitting and pitching are done incredibly well.

CB doesn't need anyone to defend him, but I will say check his posts going back to NCAA Football 09, I would not classify him as an *** kisser. He does generally side with the producers of the game, nothing wrong with that, but when he does its not knee-jerk like some people. CB's responses are well thought out and fair.

If you want to rag on CB it should be for his obsession with the damn smilly faces

Ok, didn't know about that one. Like I said earlier, I've only played 10 games or so because I've been waiting for Knight's rosters and the lineup/stat bugs. But from everything else I've seen, the gameplay is near flawless, which isn't surprising.
