Ok well then I am having trouble getting enough points to complete my goals. I don't see how I can get enough without going 3 for 4 every game. Are there any tips on getting points

save them up till the end of a week, then spend em all

and yes you really do need to go 3 for 4 9/10 games

Well that's nearly impossible man. I do good just getting two hits a game

If you go 3/4 every game, you're playing on the wrong difficulty level. You don't have to go 3/4 every game. No MLB player reaches their goals 100% of the time, so don't sweat failing OCCASIONALLLY.

Tip#1...There are no shortcuts. Just keep grinding and with patience, results will come. Try to cheat the game (without mindlessly quitting every game you don't go 3/4 in) and you'll fail consistently.

Tip#2...Don't spend training points earned during spring training. As you are learning the hard way, training points are often hard to come by. No goals during spring training does not mean free points for you to spend haphazardly. Instead, save points for during the season when you really need them.

                          Tip#3...Save training points whenever possible.
(This goes along with tip #2)
Don't spend points until one of these criteria are met:

                          a) One of your player's attributes hasn't been improved in 3 weeks and is in jeopardy of decreasing. Obviously, only worry about attributes you are using (don't worry about hitting for a pitcher).

                          b) There is one day left to achieve your goals AND you have enough points to successfully reach these goals. As stated before, nobody reaches their goals 100% of the time. If you're going to fail anyway, save your points for the next round. If you're not sure if you have enough points to reach your goals, save your game and then spend your points. If you didn't quite make it, exit to the main menu and reload your save.

                          c) You are a household MLB name and you have a LARGE excess of points (won't happen until at least your fifth professional season-probably longer)

No magic tricks. No short cuts. Only thing you can do is save your points for when you REALLY need them.

If you want to cheat by dumping/loading save files, feel free. Just know that you're robbing yourself of an extremely satisfying accomplishment. You might as well be playing on rookie with every slider maxed out in the player's favor.

                          Good luck and have fun!

                            Agreed.

I will also give you some advice that has helped me out alot.
What I do is don't spend any spring training points.
Since you start off on the bench you need to get all of your goals completed or all of the except for one with good stats to become the starter so use those spring training TP's to achieve your goals. Just the attributes that are for your goals. Keep any remaining points.

Here is a tip that I have found. Once your are the starter, you don't have to complete any of your goals for 2 goal periods (When you get an email that says You've been warned)
That is unless you want to move up faster but I don't advise it because your attributes aren't very good yet.

This is important. Any leftover points should be kept.
Then, play/simulate for 3-4 weeks. (I do 4 weeks, but you can go 5 weeks before your stats start to decline)

What I do, is just pick every 4th saturday and when that game is complete I spend 40 points on the following attributes:

Contact vs. Lefties (At the end of the next session I do vs. Righties to keep balanced)
Power vs. Lefties (Same as above)
                            Clutch
                            Durability
                            Bunt
                            Speed
                            BR Ability
                            Arm Strength/Accuracy (Can be alternated)
                            Fielding
I may be forgetting some but if there is a secondary att. being worked IE: Fielding/ Reaction then I don't have to use points on reaction when I use them on fielding and etc...

Any leftover points should be kept

Wait until you get your warning email about failing your goals (You should get the following order- An email about passing your goals, Failed Goals, You've Been Warned)

After you get the warning, keep you points as usual and keep pumping points into whatever att. you need for your goals and then stop. If you pass your goals then repeat and you can fail two more times again before having to pass.

I keep just following this order and it has worked out for me. I have a very balanced player and doing it this way prevents any attributes for decreasing.

Like I said, I am not too concerned with moving up to the majors when I'm 19 or 20 because 1: It is a very rare occurance and 2: chances are it'll be a tough time due to your attributes. If you want to blaze through and complete your goals and get there as fast as possible then ignore all of these tips lol.

No i know that getting to the majors will take time and im prepared for that. but with all this it seems that its more of really balancing your points out thourout the season and using them at the right times. i have been using them as soon as i get them and that is a mistake after reading these comments

Nice tips, but wouldn't it be better to pump points into an offensive category as soon as you get enough to train with? What I'm getting at is if you're constantly improving your contact, for example, wouldn't that improve your chances at getting base hits, therefore give you more training points to spend?

                                Thanks,
