this is a broken game and worst of all is that they could not be honest and told us that the issue is not fixable. russell puts down that he cant configure the list until today...yada yada..he was not going to tell us thay last week cuz he knew the pissed off gamers would be venting all weekend....this just killed this game for me for this year.....game killer for sure

That's what this is, an overreaction. If the game is "killed" for you, then so be it...I'm honestly sorry to hear. Let's try and remain a bit more rational though and not immediately conclude that SCEA are all liars and trying to misdirect us...lol.

I'm disappointed too, if what I've read is to be confirmed...but we don't even really know anything solid at this point. Let's not set ourselves on fire just yet.

EDIT: Also, the lineup issue isn't really a "glitch" it's logic based on ratings. It actually MOSTLY makes sense if you think about it. I would say it's clearly imperfect and I suppose I could see the case for it being "faulty" logic, but I'm not sure it's a glitch per se.

The real glitch (and subsequent disappointment, if it indeed is not fixed) is the Roster Control "ON" not working so we can override that logic.

has anyone tested rosters without roster control on to see if the lineups are still out of whack?

With the lineups, I can live with it. The fact is (to me), this game is so damn good on the field that I can live with some management issues like lieneups and DL stuff. It's not ideal, but we have arguably the best sports sim in history, so I count this small stuff. Not saying others have to be similarly nonchalant, but when I put the positives next to the negatives, it's a landslide in the positive direction.

I'm biting my tongue a bit. You're right, HOWEVER, lineups are going to be all messed up now. At least the community ones. I do all the real time moves (as do many) and when the CPU decides to put Conor Jackson, big RBI guy for AZ, batting second that's a heck of a lot bigger glitch than playing a day game at night.

It's only 0725 here on the west coast so those guys haven't even shown up for work. Maybe we've missed something.

This is total BS. The Almighty Russell has not released the "list of fixes" yet now we find out that nothing was fixed except the Cubs' schedule. Let me see if you guys knock these developers off their pedestal now. They're lucky MLB 2k9 is garbage, otherwise I would defect in a heartbeat. Christ, this is frustrating!

I did CB. After putting Drew in AAA (because he's on the DL), I put Ojeda in his place, batting second. CPU moved Conor Jackson to 2nd and Ojeda to 8th. Didn't even bother to check the rest as I'm on my way to my friends house up north. (I'm using Knights first roster fix lineup).

That is a nice gesture. Someone who will help a fellow gamer enjoy the game. This is why I love this site.

With respect to the patch. I'm glad I don't care too much about the whole lineup thing. I just want the DL glitch fixed and the scoring problems to be fixed. i.e inning ending DP that scores the run on tird.
RTTS crash and burn hasn't happened to me but I hope it gets fixed for those who have experienced it.

OK, tested a new franchise with the default rosters the game came with CPU roster control ON and the lineups get messed up once you start the game.

I don't believe the other guy unless he got a patch I did not get. It appears like the lineups are fine at the start screen (like before), but once you start the game, they are messed up, plain and simple.

CB, I will test with CPU roster control off now.

No doubt. I know people are pissed, and with what we pay for systems and games, I think it's embarrassing not to have proper disabled lists, lineup issues, etc.

I was just trying to keep a sense of perspective.

With the lineups it's tough. The real answer is to have roster control work, and it sucks that it doesn't. That is truly lame. For me, though, I can live with a quirky lineup here and there for what I get on the diamond.

I was quite surprised, though, that no announcement was on SC this morning. How do you release a patch and not have a tag line or two on SC explaining it. They had that disclaimer up for weeks about how they were working on it, so it only makes sense that they'd have one dealing with the fixes.

Anyway, I hope my positivity doesn't offend. I get why folks are upset, but I'm not in the "save this game for me" or "this game is broken" mode.
