Wow, I havent seen this much craziness over a patch since..quick story, long time ago there was a game called front page sports football for the PC, it was going to give us finally the ability to play football but but be able to build a franchise, draft free agents etc, this is when Madden was still basically a arcade game. Anyway when it first came out , it got a huge following and it didnt even have the nfl license, eventually it did. after about 3 years/versions we thought this is the year when it was all was coming together. Game came out..was a mess, crashes bugs, totally unplayable. We kept getting promised a patch,and when it finally did, made the game crash more. They offered money back, and then told everybody that was it. 3 months later Dynamix who made the game got absorbed by Vivendi and it was gone never to be seen again. TRUST me when i say this, be thankful, not saying fan boys but appreciate what we have. Make criticism constructive and just play the game, have fun.

I came here to find a solution to my problem because that's what all us consumers want. Now in that post I was joking while wanting information. Your lucky your hiding behind the screen because you disrespect me in person and you wouldnt get away with it so easy! Id hurt you!, but instead ill be the bigger man and leave it at this. We came to get answers and not more issues then came with this PATCH. Now SLTHTREE grab that fist of yours, knuckles up and shove it up your *** until it reaches your throat and you choke to death! At the end. Hopefully we get some news and thank you doc for being helpful.Im going to try erasing and redoing.

Yeah, I used to have one of the Front Page Sports Football games for the PC, but I don't remember that patch fiasco. We used to issue patches by disk back in the day. Things really are so much better now overall with downloadable patches, being able to give feedback to the devs directly, etc.

Its silly, I've tried everything. Only time I get highlites is when I don't use the bullpen. Russell spoke in the word of the Jedi in some other thread that we would see replays in due time. Don't know if that means its safe to start a franchise or not though.

Just played Tigers vs. Indians on HOF. won 6-1 on a 3 hitter but used the Bull Pen in the 7th, 8th and 9th ining as my starter had close to 100 pitches after 6. No replays to be found. The replay vault stopped working after the Relievers came in so no highlites.

I've deleted everything 3 times now so I'm done doing that now. I'll just live with it.

I had the same problem post-patch and i deleted everything, the game and all saves. I downloaded the patch again and now im using SCEA 04/27 roster and everything works perfect, i get all the replays in game, after i press start and go to replays, post game and from the replay vault.

Did you delete the game and all the saves (settings, profile, roster, franchise, ect)?

Which roster are you using?

I was hoping someone would do this and post it what occurs. If you could keep us up to date on any changes (IE issues that top up) that would be great. I feel so many are just using the older rosters, sliders, franchises, etc that maybe the answer lies more in cleaning the slate 100%.

Yep, same here. I'm using the new SCEA 4/27 roster and started a new franchise. I think you need to delete all your old saves to get it to work properly. May not work however. Mine is working stellar (so far knock on wood). And I would add if you want to use Knights roster, delete you old ones and re-download them here from the O.S. MLB 09 Knights Rosters thread to transfer them back via USB drive. Who knows, maybe something in the patch doesn't work correctly with the older files or the older files are "corrupt" so to speak.

You have to eliminate the variables. Don't know why this is happening or why this should matter, but it's worth a try. That's what worked for me.
I played 2 more games of my Cubs Franchise tonight with absolutely no hiccups whatsoever. Replays work fine, etc. I had a TON of them. Great games.

I have posted my Chicago Cubs + AAA Iowa Cubs roster based off the SCEA 4/27 career stat glitch free roster set (no edits to any MLB player attributes or pitches, they are stock) and a Cubs Franchise (CPU Roster control ON Force Trades ON) that has all the teams lineups and rotations set after spring training (so they sim with the correct batting order and pitching rotations (You still need a 2nd controller workaround for the team you play against only) if anyone Cubs fans are interested.

DKrause, as you may have already seen, I did just that early on.

I may be totally wrong here, but maybe the old rosters if downloaded off Sports Connect may be the problem.

I would get the Knights or Ridins rosters off of sendspace (posted in their threads) and try them after deleting all your old saves and try those out. But, first try out the SCEA 4/27 roster after wiping the slate clean and see if you have any replay problems, or hiccups. If not, then try Knights and Ridins rosters downloaded off of OS. Countryboy even had one of Knights early rosters that didn't have the career stat glitch because it wasn't "corrupted" by Sports Connect and then saved.

Just some thoughts.

Which rosters are you using, SCEA 4/27? If so delete that too if you try deleting all your saves and re-download.

You deleted everything? sliders, profile, gameplay, rosters? i saw that you deleted the game, patch and used the current scea roster but i didn't see for sure that it was everything new- ie sliders, profile, gameplay with post patch rosters and a fresh game and patch install.

Do you have franchise freezes, replay missing, and RTTS issues if you did the above? or just the roster control issues?

Sometimes hard to keep up in the hodgepodge that can be this thread. I do appreciate the structured approach you are taking to find the issues, its getting rare that people try to solve a problem instead of complain about one.


I personally haven't had any new issues post patch. I am using rosters i edited off of knights, playing RTTS and have replays. I just wondered if everything was deleted with only 100% new files whether it would work for all.

hey doc tryen erasing everything n redoing. it downloads then it crashes n seems to get stuck n not work or accept reseted update
