thats exacly it. the rosters that are pre-patch are now "gone". the new patch erased the coding for them. thats why its impossible to download them unless you already have them saved

So odds are any roster set created from any of the rosters that are now unavailable are what could be causing the problem for us?

yes. that is exactly the problem. which means, if you want to play with old rosters, which for most people mean Knight's or Ridin's, you must play pre-patch.

Yeah, assuming the game works fine (can't test now with hockey on unfortunately) which it appears to. I would like to know what I no longer have minus that first patch but hopefully it was nothing major.

Either way, I'll gladly trade my IP in the bullpen being wonky for having to start my franchise over.

Hopefully just minor things. Regardless, SCEA needs to find a fix for this. People shouldn't have to restart their franchises because of a patch.

What ever happened to the days when games were actually released without requiring patches??

How about this to make matters even more confusing...

I installed the patch and decided to try a franchise I saved with Ridins rosters where I did not play 1 game. It was a "default" franchise for lack of a better term. This worked. I was able to get to the schedule and sim a few games.

That franchise was based on the same roster set as the one that's freezing where I'm 20 games in.

It is not the rosters fellas...they are fine.
It's the franchise saves with the new patch.
It has nothing to do with the roster...the date of the roster...the stats in the roster.
If you are experiencing crashing...it is your franchise save and the new patch.

Seems like they're long gone unfortunately. On the bright side at least it seems like the patches for this game were pretty minor and hopefully won't even be noticeable if we have to play our franchises pre-patch.

ok so here is what i have done just to clarify: i have a saved franchise 20 games in. installed the patch, fixes apply to it but it always crashes after like three minutes or whatever. i also have a franchise i saved that is at the very beginning of the season. i havnt tried using that one, but a few prior posts say that works (i think thats what they meant). so do you mean start a new franchise with old rosters and the new patch?

From what I'm seeing, Knight is correct.

A blank franchise saved a few weeks ago with Ridin's rosters is working.
A franchise I was playing and was 20 games in, using the same rosters, is having issues.
