Does Auto Baserunning mean that my players will steal on their own?
I never like to steal for myself because I hate giving up an out that way but if they would do it automatically, I wouldn't mind it as much. Does anyone know if this is the case with Auto Baserunning?Tags: None -

It is but they arent as aggressive as I would like. When using auto baserunning you can actually still tell them to steal by pressing L2, L1 and R1 are for your lead so even if you find that they dont steal enough you can control it while still having the CPU control the baserunning otherwise. -

1. You can increase/decrease your players leads
2. You can still call for steals by using the L2 button
3. You can keep guys from stealing(if you know they want to go...when they start "creeping") by decreasing the lead and holding it.
I've found they wont' go in that case.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick answers, maybe now I won't be quite as station-to-station as I tend to be.Comment

Haven't yet played post-patch, but pre-patch I could press L2 and sometimes the runner would go, sometimes not. Pressing L1 always produced a lead. What really annoys me is that my fastest runners get caught way too often (unlike last year). I play as the reds and after 45 season games Taveras has 7 steals and been caught stealing 10 times - ludicrous. The CPU runners rarely get caught. I hope the patch changes this, but doubt whether it will. Definitely something for SCEA to address next year though.Comment
