This would be awesome if you could pull this off...

Somehow, in late game blowouts or just downtime, instead of doing cutaway's to mascots dancing (which is cool), how about going to a breaking in-game highlight of another game. And when its late in the season, a break-away to a crucial playoff-run game(s).

Something like the old Madden games would do (madden 93?).

Just something to create more of a World inside of a World in this game, create some drama or that what you do with your team affects every other team in that division/conference.

Great job so far (except of the posts of topic) on another note I have seen the "are they going to get the Nike license) question posted a couple of times.

To reiterate what I stated in the first post of the thread we are very aware that everyone would like us to obtain more license for equipment and accessories. However I don't want everyone to get their hopes up for more equipment licenses, but please keep posting the pictures of all the types of equipment used in the MLB. The character team is getting a lot of good info from the thread already in its very early state.

I know that you guys can't use products unless you get a license to use them, but it would be great if you guys could make equipment that is similar to real equipment without the logos.

As far as cleats go, there are a ton of players who are wearing custom made Nike Swingman Remix cleats. If you guys get a Nike license, you have to include these. If you don't get a license, maybe you guys can make something similar and generic.

It would be great if you could assign everyone or even certain players some type of cleat like this on Jackie Robinson Day. Ken Griffey Jr. is the reason why players started wearing Jackie Robinson's number on this day. That's probably why Nike made this special edition of the Remix this year. Hopefully, you guys plan on implementing the #42 jersey number for this day, also.

1)Gloves - Black, Tan, Dark brown, Red, Blue, Gray

2)Wristbands/Forearm Bands - Look at 2K for the selection of color....give us that selection and you will make people very happy

3) Necklaces - gold, silver, phiten or double woven phiten

4) Batting Gloves - A few different types/patterns with a customizable selecton of colors

5) Shoes - A few different models with a customizable selection of colors

6) Bats - The usual bat colors plus two tone bats like the pine handle/black barrel, black handle/brown barrel.

These things should be fairly easy to add to the game, even if you can't get licenses - these additions will make a HUGE difference.

The light blue and pink wristbands that are worn by players on Father's Day (light blue) and Mother's Day (pink), to raise awareness for cancer, should be added. Also, the pink bats that are used on Mother's Day, to raise awareness for cancer, would be an excellent addition.

My requests would be tatoos and maybe more realistic safety glasses (the ones know look kind of like prescription glasses). I also would like the option for longer hair to be used.

I think most of us understand that, but like some have stated before me, even if you aren't able to get officially licensed gear in the game you could always add your own SCEA generic gear with logos and such in various colors. Also, we really appreciate the fact that you guys even bother to hear about what we want in our sports titles. It's nice feeling like our voices are being heard. Nike, UA, Easton, Reebok, etc, would be insane to deny the best sports title on the market the license to use their gear and such in the game.

Anyhow, back to work for us.

To me the most important part is for US being able to change the colors of the accessories. You can make everyone on the team look difference and that goes a long way for realism!

Gloves- more colors and more options. Allow us to choose between finger in, out or in a holster. Please give us more colors and allows to make 2 colored gloves. Also let us choose if a player is to wear a batting glove under his fielding glove.





Layers- Some players wear 3/4 sleeves and long sleeves under that. Let us make layers.


Bats- We need more colors. Two colored bats as well

Base running gear. Many players (Crawford, Longo) wear wrist guards when they run.

Different types of elbow guards.

Silver chains and/or crosses (Pujols)

Phiten necklaces

Let us change the colors of the batting gloves

Nike Catching Gear

To add to this, (I know that catcher's gear customization has been touched on, just want to provide an example of what we're looking for) Jorge Posada wears Nike gear, which includes a catchers mask that is navy blue to match the chest protector. The bars are grey/silver. The game only allows for a basic brown mask with blue bars.
