    Haha, true.

By the next inning, I checked his stamina again and he was at about 15-20%.
I've noticed this as well. I also use Sportscast Manager for 1-2 games a series (which, btw, needs to be scrapped and totally rebuilt) and you can really see the effects that different types of at bats have on pitcher stamina. Start walking guys or giving up strings of hits (especially in deep counts) and it drops like the mercury on a clear Minnesota night in February. But if you put together a string of outs, it does not drop nearly as fast. It even seems like getting a 5 pitch strikout as opposed to a putout on a 3-1 count results in less of a drop. Also, I've noticed that if you come off a 1-2-3 inning and get the first guy out on one or two pitches in the next inning, your energy actually goes up ever so slightly. I haven't really checked when playing a live game, but I would think that this holds true there as well.

Also every time I play the stamina bar is either full or close enough to it.

I guess I am The Mad Hatter, but here I'll side with Batman.

Just ignore the energy bar and pitch. Throw 200 pitches, what does it matter? It's not like you just drafted Stephen Strasburg and your entire life depends on his arm not falling off.

Just start calling everyone in your franchise Carlos Zambrano and let them carry the load. I guarantee they won't see a similar drop-off in skills. There are no fatigue related injuries, they won't complain of shoulder soreness, nothing.

Test yourself and pitch as long as you want.

Could it be fixed? How would I know?

Should it be fixed? Yes. But I think they have bigger fish to fry. I'm not against it though.

This has happened to me once with Ben Sheets. I had him pitch a CG with like 110+ pitches and his energy bar during the game was completely empty. Then for his next start his bar wasn't full.

But if I have my pitchers not throw too many pitches, they are good.
