And have the crowds wearing vintage clothing(top hats, sundresses, whatever)! I'd hate to play as the '53 Dodgers in Ebbets and see a row of chicks rockin daisy dukes. Give it the ultimate makeover! Give me atmosphere!Comment

Did not see it posted in the thread... but I would love for MLB the Show to have a similar set up as NBA 2k with dynamic commentary that mirrors something like the NBA Today setup. I think it would be awesome to have real world games for quick play exhibitions that captured real time, real world commentary on what' s going on in the league currently... plus making it dynamic in your franchise play as well. Although the commentary is already top notch, I think taking a page from 2k as far as commentary goes would send this portion of the presentation thru the roof.Truly Blessed -Comment

I just don't want to see a let down with MLB 10. The Show series has been so good, yet, I hope they do not get complacent because of zero competition from another "certain game."Comment

I want Old Comiskey!!!
Other than that, not much. It'd be cool if you could design uniforms or move a team or design a new stadium in franchise mode.Comment

Re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's too late for The Show '10)
Let me first start by saying this is the best videogame I've ever played (including non-sports games). I'm as into the game today as I was when I first purchased it back in May.
* What I would like to see in 2010 is dynamic bullpens. I'd love to see the other teams' pitchers warming up. I also wish the announcers would let us know the CPU's bullpen is active.
* Rain delays......this should happen in this game. How cool would it be to get through 4 innings only to have it start raining and then have the game be called? I remember this happened in one of the 2K baseball games a couple of years ago.
* What about just playing a game in the rain that doesn't get delayed? That would be cool too!!
* Better roster control in season mode. I only play 1 season in this game (I'm a dad with a small child -- what do you want from me?) but I'd like to have a bit more control over the computer rosters without having to make ALL of their moves during the season.
* Managers getting ejected from the game. If that's the case, the computer would then make your on-field decisions for the rest of the game. You would still play the game but the CPU would make your pitching changes, defensive subs, etc.
* Different annoucing team. This is very repetitive and Campbell and Hudler are just terrible. Period. I'd love for the announcers to talk more about the season, what's going on with the standings, etc.
Honestly, those are about my only gripes with this game. It's just that good!!!Last edited by sinkdog; 10-29-2009, 12:34 PM.PS4 UserName: sinkdawgComment

Re: Put your "wishlist" things HERE (even though it's too late for The Show '10)
It's all those little accents and attention to detail that the designers put in the game that just make it stand above all other sports games. You can feel the developers passion for baseball in this game when you play it and become immersed in its gameplay....This is something that I just dont feel with other sports games.
With that said, I think 2010 could definitely add improvements....I think the core gameplay and engine is almost as solid as you can get for baseball so this could be the year they just completely polish the sh*t out of this game and make it the most incredible sports sim/video game ever created.
They can start by:
- adding even more variety in the fielding animations. A little more variety in the diving sliding and rolling outfield stabs that happen every so often. The short hop that locks up an infielder and skims off his glove....Some more stuff like that
- tightening the relationship between fielding animations and player's abilities. Ie, some of the flashier, more graceful infield plays should be better tied into the better rated infielders. I dont like seeing backup 2nd basemens making that graceful scoop and throw on the run all the time. Or that sliding grab and throw from one knee. These are highlight plays that should happen farther and fewer in between and only more frequently by the elite fielders in the game
-a wider variety of close tag plays and animations at the bases. This is one of the most exciting aspects of baseball, the close tag play at a base and almost all baseball games neglect really developing this area of the game. While MLB is better then other games at it, they still dont capture enough variety in it and the players kind of morph into/thru each other on the plays making it completely unrealistic. Give us more excitement, tension, have some sweeping tags, have the umpire point at the tag and then pause and punch him out...or have him delay and do a double safe guesture with excitement...there is so much variety that can be added here
-more bobbles and booted short hops, and diving misses in the outfield. Basically some more variety in miscues
-Speaking of miscues, players should make some mental mistakes. In this game and in sports games in general, the AI never really makes mental errors and its such a big part of sports. Especially when a team is a bit intimidated in the playoffs. Good example is the Yankees this year. Both Minnesota and LA played terrible fundamental baseball in the field and on the base paths because they were intimidated by their opponent.
-The crowds are good but they could still be much more dynamic and realistic, especially during the post season. They should be going absolutely nuts and more intelligently react to almost every pitch and not die down so quickly...They should be loud almost throughout the entire game
-Give us more management styles of play for each team. Manager Tendencies and profiles that differ between the teams. So playing different teams results in slightly different decisions by different managers
-Create A Team and the ability to use this team in your Franchise or add as an expansion team during your career
-Add some old time classic parks, Ebbets, Polo Grounds, Forbes Field, etc
-I dont think all the teams have all their classic uniforms available. Add more (ie The Phillies Light Blue road unis of the early 80's ) ...The Montreal Expos!! Etc.
-I just cant stand Steve Vaskergiam (sp?) anymore....he's so west coast and dull. I'd love to have some better announcing like John Miller, Joe Morgan, or Joe Buck and Tim McCarver, or even Vin Scully, etc ... Anyone but him or that other dud from High Heat, forgot his name. Too many years with these announcers is getting a bit old.
-Show us Season Stats pop ups during the playoffs instead of playoff stats that havent yet been accumulated. Or show us both. Its kind of silly to see a Pitchers preview during game 1 of the post season and there's nothing but zeros on the presentation pop up for him and the batters
-Catchers should always take their masks off when fielding pop ups or chasing wild balls...this is just something small that irks me
-variety of collisions with the wall in the outfield on running catches would add excitement and realism
These are some of my main areas of improvement on an otherwise wonderful gameComment

Re: MLB The Show 10 Back of The Box Predictions
Same thing we told everyone last year the collision detection that most want will most likely never be in The Show. It's not over looked or deemed unimportant it just doesn't work they way you think it would work. It either has to be on all the time or totally scripted events. Chris could turn on collision detection at any point its not the cats meow. You just end up with people running into each other all over the place and the entire game would need to be re-written for it to even be remotely plausible.Last edited by sandu8; 10-29-2009, 09:54 PM.Comment
