    Question about DFA

I have DFA two players during my current franchise. My question comes from looking at the League Roundup. For the first player the roundup says he DFA and then above it is says he was outrighted to AA. This is what I was hoping would happen.

For the second guy it still just says he was DFA and nothing else. He is still listed on my roster in AAA.

Does the game take into account the ten day period you have to make a move after a DFA? Also I think it would be nice if it doesn't that the game would let you know if the player was claimed by another team or not.

Anyone know exactly how the game handles the DFA situations?

Designate for Assignment only removes a player from your 40-man and passes him through waivers to do so. Since there is no DFA list or roster section, there is no 10 days. When you click and select remove from 40-man, you are designating for assignment and the player is immediately passed through waivers and either sent to AAA if he is on the 25-man roster or remains where ever he was when you DFA'd him if he is not claimed off waivers. If he is claimed off waivers a message box will immediately pop up and tell you that such and such a team has claimed him and he will be gone from your roster.

Thanks for the info! I wonder why it doesn't say that the second player was outrighted however?!?!??! Oh well it all worked out!

        yw.

I think technically a player in the minors only needs to be placed on waivers to be removed from the 40-man. DFA is for the majors only.
