Play every game. Have tried to do it on games going back to Griffey Baseball on SNES. I usually just play one game a day and keep up with the real schedule. Even if I play on the team's day off I rarely get more than one series ahead. Just having full control over the stats and everything keeps me going.

Re: Franchise Question: 162 Games?
i´m def. not play every game :
1. have no time to play every day
2.want to play more than one season and with different teams
so i sim to trade deadline. now i should have the team i was looking for (trades) and think it is good enough to make the playoffs. then i play one game with my favorite pitcher of each series until the playoffs. so i play about 24 games in a season myself but these games are very important, because of the playoff push ( and i´m not have a feeling off cheating, because stats are more realistic )Mlb:Yankees
Nfl:Buccs
Nhl:Red Wings
Nba:RaptorsComment

Re: Franchise Question: 162 Games?
I play them all, sim all the minor league games. I'd feel cheated if I missed a game, I want to make sure that I'm in control of my franchise so I play them all. As a result I'm probably not going to get to play as many seasons as I want but oh well.
Imo PsychoBulk's sliders are the best.
As for doing multiple seasons the way I go about it is I always look forward to the off-season when you go and sign your players, FA, trading etc. Only thing I sim would be ST, to me it just seems somewhat pointless but I do play some of the games.Comment

Re: Franchise Question: 162 Games?
Franchise mode doesn't have it but Season mode lets you choose between 14, 29, 82 or 162 games and despite the name it is still a multi-season mode only it has less depth than franchise. You still get spring training, offseason free agency, a draft etc. but you only get a 40-man roster with no minors and you don't have the finances aspect of franchise mode.Comment

Re: Franchise Question: 162 Games?
The first time I ever completed an entire season in a baseball game was MVP 05 for PC and that was because I had it on my work computer.
That was several years ago. I haven't even come close since. I made it to around June of year one in MLB 08 then got the stamina bug and quit playing.Comment
