Its all really nice that the devs worked so hard on making the game look and feel more realistic and its much appreciated, but. . . I would have rather that they fix the fielding. I guess I will wait and buy the game used, because frankly it seems like this years game will play like the last, except it will look better.

Wow. Dude we're talking a preview article and screenshots. The ESPN article said they're still things they're trying to get in. I don't know how you make can assumptions about ANY product 90 days before it's available.

I wish they would change the 6 1/3 starting pitching logic. That has always been the thing that drove me crazy the most about this game. The only way your pitcher stays in the game past 6.1 is if the game is tied or he has a shutout. If its say 3-1 and the pitcher has only thrown 70 pitches, he gets taking out every friggin time at 6.1. Fix that please. Thats not realistic.

I'm looking forward to the new presentation.

My favorite part of The Show is RTTS. I don't care about the boring training sessions or the Home Run Derby, I hope they fixed to wonky manager logic and goal system. I do like that you start in AA, that's much better than ST.

I'm glad they are fixing the online and fast players as well.

I was really hoping for a dynamic season mode like NBA Live has, that'd be awesome for a long 162-game baseball season so that you wouldn't have to worry about sim stats for games not played.

Only thing I'm disappointed with is the lack of Ebbetts Field as a classic stadium...was really looking forward to playing there. Other than that, it all sounds great!

First time poster here. Loved (and still loving) '09 but '10 just sounds awesome.

I hope their adaptation of RTP doesn't mean we can't expect new cut scenes every year. Those cut scenes are a huge part of what makes the game so immersive. The beach ball on the field, the players reaction to a fan running on the field, etc.... I want that stuff to stay in and be added to each year.

Is it just me, or does the article sound like they are planning on transitioning away from cutscenes entirely in the next few years?

I get the feeling cut scenes are sort of gone. That doesn't mean they can't do close ups but it's all in real time. Did you play MLB 2K9 or try their demo? That's how they did it and it was really cool. I don't think you will be disappointed. It's the highlight of the features announced so far (for me).

The only thing i've wanted for a few years is the abilty to control all teams lineups, pitching rotations, callups, etc but with fantasy injuries. This is the only thing holding this game back from being prefect.

They said those presentation scenes are still in the game, since they have upwards of 7,000 animations in them, and it would seem a waste to scrap them.

They will have the originals along with the new RTP from what I gather.

MLB 10" will default with the same presentation gamers are used to, with all of the classic cut scenes that help you follow the action. But the team at Sony is also laying a foundation for what they believe is the future of sports gaming, and that's something they call Real-Time Presentation (RTP).

We're still going to default to what we have, as we have upwards of 7.000 animations in all of these cut scenes. But the real-time aspect gives you an opportunity to watch the game in a different environment, from the way the camera focuses on the shortstop who just made a great diving catch to the way the next batter is walking up to the plate to the way the guy who just got out storms back to the dugout, it's all playing out in front of you like you in real time.
