Bruney tore a ligament in his foot last April and was supposed to be out for the season. Instead, he missed three months and returned in August. He posted pretty good numbers (1.83 ERA, 0.99 WHIP), but was helped by a super-low .200 batting average against on balls in play and a super-high 87 percent strand rate. Bruney can be a strikeout-per-inning guy.
