I agree, and also I know this is a post without a photo in it, but it's of a good Nolan Ryan story.
A colleague of mine took his kids up to Cooperstown back in 2007 since his kids hadn't been up to the Hall of Fame before and he wanted to show them around and get to pour some more baseball history into them. While he was up there, an individual was in there just looking at the plaques on the wall and some of the pitcher's stuff they have there. As my colleague got closer, he realized it was Nolan Ryan! He nervously asked him if he could get an autograph, and Nolan apparently said "Why don't you get your kids up here and my wife can take some pictures for you." So he got a whole ton of photos of himself and his kids there with Nolan Ryan. He also came back with a ton of autographs and whatnot. He said Nolan was one of the kindest, nicest, and greatest people to talk to ever. Said that his kids will never forget their trip to the Hall, and neither will my colleague.
