O's didn't really add, a lot. I guess I will be excited about the possibilities of all the arms. It will suck losing Mora, and Huff, because in 09 they are about 70% of my offense. It will be nice to hit Adam Jones 3, Pie 2 and Markakis 4, i think that is what the O's are gonna do.

Tejada reunion maybe. I picked him up from FA in my second season with the Cardinals last year and he was awesome to play with. He put together numbers reminiscent of his MVP days in Oakland

Completly forgot about Miggy. That will be my guy. He will be 5th and Scott 6 maybe. Yeah, Miggy is the guy I'm excited to use.

I also forgot to mention that Miggy never needed rest. I think I sat him one or two games all year and he easily led the league in AB's. His defense was also really good. They may have toned it down this season a bit, but he was a lot of fun to play with. His stance took some getting used to though.

It still hasnt hit me yet that Halladay is gone. Ive always been a Jays fan but I stopped paying attention from 98-02 but he's the reason I started watching every game again. Philly fans..and the rest of MLB fans..you will see how phenomenal he is..I just hope he has a lot more gas in his tank and wins some titles....he will dominate the NL. Might have to start a Phillies fanchise

Great topic....too bad the offseason was full of mediocre names.

Guess I'll go with...Scott Hairston, especially off lefties. Great to have him back. Maybe Dusty Ryan to see if he can develop some pop. Cunningham is interesting, too.

Already pitched Jon Garland in my '09 game, and he got absolutely RAKED! That was with better attributes than he'll likely have this year!

Cunningham was rated very low last year and I think he had either a C or a D potential. He never made it out of AA for me. I also got lit up with Garland on my Cardinals chise, then traded him to the brewers and he was in the cy young running. How was Kouz in 09?

Im looking forward to try out Curtis Granderson. Also, I hope that Javier Vasquez can fare better this time around for the Yankees

Kouz out of the box was rated fairly generously, but as the season went on, the updated rosters rated him around where he should be.

His defense may be "overrated" because of how high his fielding percentage was last season, but he's atmost an above average defender at third. His power will be good, around 60-69 and his contact at about 50-70. He was a better hitter on the road and I'm sure Oakland has a much more hitter friendly park than the Grand Canyon here.

At least with the impressions on potential rating this year, you can at least make an effort to make a player better than what is initially given, as there were many prospects and September call-ups in the 09' roster that quite frankly had no future on any ballclub despite being one of the organization's top prospect (Mat Gamel and Travis Snider come to mind).

Anyways, the Padres didn't get ground-breaking player, but having Hairston back should help this lineup against lefties (now that the Padres, even though Giles was DL'd for most of the year, are not obligated to wasting a lineup spot for him), a decent backup infielder in Hairston, Jr., and Garland.

Brian Matusz, although he's not really a newcomer.

I agree with the better attributes. He shut me out in my last game & I lost 1-0.

Astros didnt acquire anyone that im excited for but I would like to see how I can do pitching with Myers and playing 3rd with Feliz, though. Mainly looking foward on playing with the key players and see who has improved or declined.
