I trade in all the games I don't play anymore. If the next game in a sports series is better, I automatically trade in the old one even if I only get $7 or $8. The oldest sports game I have is NCAA 09 and that's because I didn't like NCAA 10. I'm assuming after I play the demo for MLB '10 I will pre-order the game and trade in MLB '09 at the same time.

I traded mine in and received $12.50 from gamestop. Too many great games out and needed some boost in the funds to buy them. Definitely getting The Show 10 the day it drops.Let's Go Yankees!

Re: are u keeping 09 the show
Keeping it. MLB 10 looks good, but I really don"t feel like starting yet another new franchise......monkeying around with sliders, roster updates, etc.
I'm in year 2 of my franchise, using Coreyhartsdaughter's sliders,(which are great, btw), and the Indians have a more promising team in the game than they do in real life. I'm expecting 10's version of the Tribe to be average to below average, based on ratings and whatnot.
I wanna win!!!!!!! Lol......Comment

Re: are u keeping 09 the show
I usually do trade in games or sell them on eBay. But I can't stop playing 09. This is the first sports game I have played for this long. I will be playing up until 10 comes out.Playstation Network:That70s_Gamer

Re: are u keeping 09 the show
I usually trade in my sports games a few months before the release of the next game while it still has some value, but I am having a hard time convincing myself to do it this time with MLB09.
I just know when Spring Training rolls around, I am going to want to play some baseball to hold me over until MLB10, so I guess I'm keeping it until it is released, then I'll get the whopping $2 trade-in at Gamestop.Comment

Re: are u keeping 09 the show
ive seen gamestop do some discounts for trading in the years previous entry, it's nothing major, like 10 % but it's something, I got 10% off of tiger woods 10 for trading in 09 at release, I'll see if they do something like that, other wise i'll hang onto 09 and scratch up the 2 bucks I would have gotten for it.Comment

Re: are u keeping 09 the show
Its rare that I get rid of a game, as you never know when the urge will strike to play a game. I've been on a NES Double Dragon kick the past few days for whatever reason.
But yeah, I have every baseball game I've ever bought from Baseball on the Nintendo to The Show last year, and everything in between. I don't trade away baseball games, especially when they are this good.
I guess im always moving foward and want the latest version .
I havent played this since June but just bought again on new year and with Jims current roster they will make waiting for mlb 10 a snap
2 games I will keep forever are FNR4 intil 5 comes out and Batman AA was amazing
PS I also sell earlier for more game value $$$ at times as I never rented but it doesnt detirmine in whether I keep a game longer .Last edited by dorismary; 01-03-2010, 08:42 AM.Comment

Re: are u keeping 09 the show
I once traded in a boat-load of my old sports games, including some from the previous year, and put the money toward NCAA '07 or '08. I had a bunch of games and got only $22 or something like that. Hardly worth it, unless you just want to free up space. I kept my absolute favorites - NCAA 2003, 2004, 2007 and Madden 2006.
If you don't trade in a game about six months or so after its release, it's almost a waste to do it. You're better off keeping it to play for old times' sake or to give it to a friend as a nice gesture.Comment
