man first of all im very glad i found this site, its really cool. Im gonna play road to the show first, then ima jump into franchise mode and bring my yanks title #28!!! btw the game looks great!

The first thing I'll do is do all the game set up stuff (sliders/settings) that I've researched here on this awesome web site. Then, I go into the lab and start creating players (I always play with a created team of friends and family...I know I'm weird). Then, I go right into season mode and that's it.

Ever since All Star Baseball 2003, I've made a habit of first playing Home Run Derby in PNC Park, then playing a game of Reds vs. Giants at night. Don't ask me why, this is just how it has been (I think it was the first year Griffey was on Seattle, and I had some fascination with PNC Park). I didn't break the tradition last year with the exception of the HRD, so this year I'll do the HRD first.

I cant blame you for your facinantion with PNC Park

I am fortunate to be able to go see several games there every summer, just wish I could see more Pirate victories

I'll probably start a Cubs franchise. Just play around with it, trade for a few players I'd want. Just a for fun franchise.

I'll patiently be waiting for the the great roster Knight provides us with.

Good point.

Last year though I wanted to see other ML stadiums and get a feel for the game so I played at least a dozen full exhibition games, tinkered with the sliders and options before I did anything, then started spring training and I was still tweaking all thru that. Should have a pretty good handle on it as the game play isn't going to change that much (it will be more refined), so we'll see, but jumping into a franchise and getting frustrated only leads to a lot of "what the heck" posts here.

It's a long season, so might as well learn the ins-outs of the game.

I think I will go ahead and start my RTTS right away. I just recently started playing that mode with '09 and couldn't believe I had never tried it before. I have been kind of leery of starting something before patches come out but maybe this year I will grow a pair .
