Re: MLB '10: The Show - Broken Bats Gameplay
I am so glad i have a ps3, I get to play the best baseball game in the us MLB 10 and play japan's pro yakyuu series. Tired of 2k playing mind games with its customers with so called tidbits of info. All they provide is tidbits of crap.Comment

That was the video they shot on the first day I assume they haven't finished editing the interview yet which has more gameplay.Comment

I keep hearing great things about the game, the depth, the replay value etc. It's about time I gave it try.Comment

Hey I am in Australia as well and you can buy it online. PS3 is region free.
Also Russell, I have single handedly gotten over 10 players on my baseball team here in Australia to buy ps3's just for MLB the show after playing it at my house. You should consider sending some to Australia. I would even consider buying in bulk from you guys and redistributing it myself.Comment

I got one better for you.
Here is a thread that was started last year by Europeans and Aussies. It has plenty of different sites and experiences when ordering.

You will LOVE the game. It is a real gem.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Yeah, I did not want to be rude and ask about the "interview" video. I was wondering about it, and glad it is still coming. Thanks.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Thanks Enigma, you've been a great help.
This seems like a game that offers the kind of immersive experience that will own my soul, at least until the next installment.
Cheers mate.Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show - Broken Bats Gameplay
Game looks almost identical to last yrs -- I just hope the game provides a little more balance than last year.
Last year I felt I was watching the game, and had very little impact on the result.
I want my stick skills to have a bigger impact on how games turn out. a balance between 2Ks right stick-controls and 09s realism and polish would be perfect.
The reason why MVP 2005 is still the better game is because of this balance.Last edited by WSB98; 01-09-2010, 12:50 PM.Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show - Broken Bats Gameplay
MVP 2005 nailed the concept: Very nice simulation that stayed true to baseball in every way, but also provided a lot of user control. A blend of baseball savvy and good stick-skills were required to beat your competition.
MLB the show has nailed the simulation part down as good as any game has, but the missing 'element' is the "user control".
THe reason NFL 2K5 is one of the best sports games ever is that it provided the user immense amount of control, but also stayed true to its roots as a simulation.
It's what made Ken Griffy Slugfest a baseball-classic.
Another game that nailed this blend is the game in my name: World Series Baseball '98 on sega saturn.Last edited by WSB98; 01-09-2010, 12:58 PM.Comment
