Russell, can you add anything to the questions over the "meter" that was alluded to in the fact sheet?

In the fact sheet it mentioned work done to the "throwing meter".. was this just the pitching meter or was the fielder's throwing meter worked on to take more input based on how hard the user presses the throwing button?

I know a few of us are just looking for a little clarification

Work was done to the throwing meter as well. It now correctly works with how hard you press and how hard the fielder will throw based on his stats.

            Hey Russell,
I have a question if you dont mind. Is there a fielding meter to control the accuracy and how hard the fielders throw the ball? One thing that is driving me crazy is when its a grounder and i throw to first, there is an error or 2 twice a game because of that.

And if you dont mind answering another question about fielding. Outfielders jog to get the ball in 09, i feel i never have a chance to throw out the runner. Do outfielders run and charge the ball?

            Thanks

Russell...is there now the ability to cut off a throw from outfield to say home plate after you've started your throw to home to, for instance, stop the runner on first from going to second?

The meter was on when I was playing the games you are watching in the videos and was working, was it accurate? I don't know, take a look at the throw in the first video from Manny. I did not get the meter maxed out due to the button sensitivity on the PS3 controller. The throw was a lame duck to 2nd base.

I wish. I hate when I'm behind in the count because I get so antsy and usually swing even when I know a ball is coming.

Also am I the only person who bought a PS3 JUST for The Show? My friends ripped on me dropping, back then, $400 on a system for one game. To me it was an easy decision.

Hopefully its accurate. Arod has great accuracy and strength. No way he should have as many errors as he has in my season.

Also did you hear Russell say it's optimized for 720p again this year

                            Nice job dmb!
Optimized for 720p and he said that the recorded 2 weeks worth for the three guys on commentary.

HOLY CRAP. I now understand what you guys mean by the throwing fielding meter now. Gawd I'm an idiot. When I think of throwing meter for fielding I think of the one for MVP '05. An actual looking meter. Not the circle meter that is on the show. Geezus, I feel really really stupid. Thanks for clarifying this Rman. And sorry to everyone else for the confusion I caused earlier in thread.
