amazon has it delivered on release day for cheaper than i can buy in mi at walmarts/gamestop with tax. includes the 6 stadiums

Preordered at Gamestop yesterday so I could get the code for the historic ballparks. I'm not really for or against preordering, but it's not really necessary to do so where I live. I've never had any trouble getting a game on release day if I didn't preorder.

Hmmm...I remember a few years ago I did it online but that may have been ebgames.com - you may have to call them. Don't bring up the coupon or anything if I were you, that'll just confuse them probably and cause your order to get hosed. Just say you're buying it local and to please cancel ASAP. Then when you get off the line and confirm it's gone, place your new order.

I just placed my order through Amazon and have release day shipping. I traded in 2 games and 2 books through Amazon's trade in store and was able to pay off MLB the show '10 with my gift certificate. If anybody is wondering the total amount of MLB the show '10 (56.99) and release day shipping is $62.97. I was lucky enough cover all the expenses and have 18 cents left over.

There is a Hollywood Video (that I used to work at) that is closing soon, and they are selling NEW games for $20.00. They have been advertising closing for a few weeks now, and I doubt they got their shipment of 'The Show' to sell, but if they do have it I will pick it up there for 20 bucks.

If not, Best Buy for the win I guess....either way, I can't wait for next Tuesday!

I would hope they would sell new releases for 20 bucks!

But I doubt they will. I haven't been in there to check and/or call, but if they got a shipment in of new games to be released (like the Show or Heavy Rain) the sign made it seem like new games were only 20 bucks since they gotta sell everything in the store.

But again, I used to work for them and I know what kind of shady stuff that always seemed true that wasn't, I'll have to go in and see what it really means and what they are really selling, as I was planning on doing that anyway.

I pre-ordered at a Gamestop here in Cincinnati, OH to get the classic stadiums. If I were to find it early could I pick up my pre-order Tuesday then return it after I unlock the classic stadiums? Sounds simple enough but stores like Gamestop are good at throwing semantics around.
