Re: Is anyone getting it for the psp this year?

well one thing is for sure, MLB the show is still by far the greatest sports gaming franchise available for the psp lol, the only other sports game i really enjoy playing for my psp is the NBA 2k series, and NBA 2k10 is the first NBA 2k game ever made for the psp....

all the other sports games suck for the psp,lol

and have any of you ever played the other mlb game for psp...?
I don't even think i would play mlb 2k for the psp if it were free, lol yet alone drop 40 bucks on the thing

It is actually a pretty phenomenal and deep game for a PSP game. By far the best portable sports game ever created. And other than Franchise mode being absent (not enough disc space), it is every bit as deep as the PS2 version. You would be quite surprised on how well it looks and plays.

        LOVE this game on PSP.
Keeps me sane when I have the watch at work.
Definite day 1 buy for me.

I've only just bought a PSP-3000 and I was thinking of picking up MLB 07 (although it's difficult finding a copy).

Does anyone know if you can save the game mid-way through a game? The last thing I want is to play 8 innings, only to find I have to put the PSP down.

Also, you mention that Franchise mode is missing. Am I correct in saying that Season mode is still there? And that you can still play multiple seasons via that mode?

Do you have any financial options via Season mode? I was hoping to play a season with the Rays and take out a huge loan to bankroll us to the World Series.

I rarely play my PSP, I find myself playing it during the summer before I go to bed.

I bought a copy of MLB 09 for PSP, I don't think I'll need 10 just for updated rosters.

Day 1 purchase for me too. '09's game was excellent, and even though most improvements discussed are for the PS3, I never feel like the psp games are just a roster update of the prior year.

I don't recall mid game saving being an option.

Yes there is a full season mode, no on financial other than resigning players and making trades.

                Full RTTS as well.

I just pause the game and turn of my psp. Then when i turn it back on it is still at the same part of the game

I had a psp last year and I can 100% confirm that mid game saving is in. The Show for psp is amazing every year, its a great purchase.

my gf got me a pspgo for christmas, and naturally the first game i got was the show 09.. obviously its many steps down from the show 09.. im probably going to stick with 09.. i wasnt too excited about it as a game.. the pitching was a little iffy, and the hitting was strange.. maybe ill give 10 a go..

got god of war, and havent played anything since.. wow thats alot of game packed into the psp.. for anyone looking for more titles to add to their psp

I've bought The Show for my PSP the last 2 years, and while it's amazing the fit all that content into a handheld game, I have had a ton of problems with the games difficulty. In 2008 it was absolutely ridiculously easy to hit. Every game was like a 20 hit game for me on the hardest level, and I'm not that good at video game baseball and I use one of the worst offensive teams in baseball (Giants).

In 2009, the addition of Legend difficulty made the hitting statistics more realistic, but the CPU absolutely bombed your pitching on that level.

Before I get 2010 for the PSP, I'm hoping they've tweaked the games difficulty. It would be great if there was a difficulty level that was like pitching against the 2nd highest level (mvp?) and hitting against the Legend difficulty level.

If you don't mind the graphics dip from PS3, then this game is great, I played it on psp from 06 to 09, 09 was the best. If you are a psp gamer and love baseball it's a MUST purchase. I've moved on to PS3 now, but I have fond memories playing the Show on my psp.
