    HAHA!

Yeah...Kolbe and I went through the stadiums one by one and came up with a bunch of changes that MIGHT get implemented.
    -manual scoreboards(they were digital)
-signage being era specific(in a couple of the stadiums they were as you mentioned.....modern.
-Kolbe went as far to saying he didn't like one of the stadium backdrops and was going to see if that could get updated.

This will all come down to how much crunch time was left.

Russell, my only issue is this:
Why was it then advertised as a feature of the game in the fact sheet? (And, many retailers have it listed as one of the new features of the game). It clearly said that the classic stadiums would be included in the game. I quote: “New Stadiums (PS3) – MLB 10 The Show will offer 11 new stadiums. In addition to all current MLB stadiums, five new Minor League venues are available, as well as classics parks now be available on the PS3 for the first time. The classic stadiums include Forbes Field, Crosley Field, Polo Grounds, Shibe Park, Sportsman Park, and Griffith Stadium.”

I am sure I am going to end up getting the DLC at some point. I'll find a way to buy the pack off the US store, but that's not the point. A mistake has been made and it must be acknowledged and (something I know won't happen) sony should stand by its word and include the classic staidums in the game.

it doesn't say they are included in the game, only that they will be available on the PS3. No mis-marketing here. The word "on" signifies that its not necessarily included "in the game" itself.

it says "MLB The Show will offer 11 Stadiums". 5 new minor league stadiums, plus 6 classic stadiums makes 11. PLus, why mention this in the game's features if it'll be offered as DLC? I took that quote from a canadian online retailer, which isn't mentioned among the pre-order stores.

the Show does offer 11 stadiums. You just have to either a) get a voucher or b) pay to d/l the historical stadiums.

Again, there is no mis-marketing here. They never claimed that the historical stadiums would be offered for free on the game disc. They said that its "available on the PS3", which they are, via DLC.

The fact sheet stated the game will offer 11 new stadiums didn't say how you would obtain them

                  Thanks for the reply, Russell.
First off, thank you and your colleagues for putting out, year after year, the best baseball game ever. It is without a doubt the best I have ever played. Respect.

                  Thanks for clearing things up.
But why advertise it, then? It is clearly misleading. I pre-ordered as soon as I read the fact sheet on that Canadian online store. I have honestly never seen a game advertising a feature that is not included in the game, but will be later as DLC.

Can you imagine a big game such as (sorry for the comparison) MW2 being advertised before release as follows?:
"MW2 will offer 4 multiplayer maps never seen before.*

Not necessarily included in the game*".

Again, I mean no disrespect. I just think it was obviously misleading.

I see it all the time.

They did announce DLC for MW2 before MW2 hit, DLC for Dragon Age, for Mass Effect 2, etc etc.

And there was just as much confusion about the Dragon Age one.

It happens, that is why we now got answers.

Yeah, maybe in an interview they announce it. Granted.

But in the game features they send to the stores? I doubt it. And if that's been the case with those games too, then that's also misleading.

EDIT: Anyway, sorry all for the complaining and for cluttering the thread. I know things won't change. I still think, and I don't think anybody would convince me otherwise, that the information was misleading. But, case closed. Thank you all for your replies.

Dragon Age had it as a feature to stores and on Steam. People were all sorts of confused.

Anyhow... update on how to get them without pre-ordering.

The stadiums do actually exist in the game, but you need to achieve Platinum Status in the game, aka acquire all Trophies in order to unlock the stadiums. We decided to make it easier for many people who already love The Show to get them earlier, all for just pre-ordering the game.

I honestly don't see whats so misleading about it. It said it was available. Never said anything about it being free, included on the disc, or if you even had to pay.

"available on the PS3" doesn't equate to in the game. All that statement says is that its available to the user, which it isvia DLC. A mis-interpretation by a customer doesn't equate to misleading. If that was the case, I could mis-interpret a lot of things and then claim the marketing was misleading.

any recommendations on where to pre-order? Ive never pre-orderd The Show because I am one of those crazy people that drives all over the night before its realease date to see if a store has shelved it....but I would like to get the stadiums, so I think this time I will, I just dont want to order from a store that is notorious for putting the game out like 4 days later!

                                any suggestions?
