i hate to say this because i am a giants fan, but it seems that i always get a double with manny every single at-bat. as for pujols, i can jack up some hr with he. he is just a freak of nature.

I cant for he life of me drill the ball as hard as I should with him, anyone else have this problem???
His stance is odd,

I think he is one of those players in this game that you just have to change your timing with.

Go up to the plate with a plan of pulling or going the other way with him (maybe you've already tried this) either way its worth a shot. If that doesn't work, go into batting practice with him and see where you normally hit with him, maybe you can get some idea of a different approach that way.

I find that with players in "The Show" once you get the ball rolling by getting some singles and doubles you can then take off and hit the long balls.



For me it's basically the same issue with David Wright... I just have so much trouble hitting with him. Unless I poke one up the middle I just can't hit with him for long periods of time in a season. And strangely enough during those times I almost always hit home run after home run with Beltran...

And don't get me started on how I have so much trouble hitting with 2 outs and runners in scoring position with most star players.

i played a season with the cards, pujols is insane. easily out of all the batters i played in '09 he was without a doubt the best. almost every hit was like shooting the ball out of a canon.

I don't know about batting with Pujols, but I gotta share this. I'm like 65 or 70 games into my season with the Yankees and Jeter is hittin' like .185 - LOL

YEah. For some reason, I can't hit anything with Jeter as well.

I think I played one game with the Cardinals and if memory serves, I walked a couple times, maybe one intentionally. Speaking of which, I was playing against the Cards last night with the Bucs in a season I just started.

I was facing Pugols in about the 7th inning with a man on third & two outs, up 5-3. He had already homered earlier in the game off my starter, but considering I had clawed back from 5-0, I wasn't looking to put another man on. So despite me considering it and the API calling for the IBB, I went after him with Kevin Hart. Went for a first pitch fastball on the hands... 420 foot HR to left-center. Lesson learned and I lost 7-3.
