Yes, when you go to the schedule screen and put the cursor on each day it will show the pitching matchup for that game.

I for one like to turn off HR celebrations, put the fielding camera on high. It gives me more satisfaction when I hit HR's, when HR celebrations are on you just know you hit a HR cause it goes right to the cutscene and you really dont an idea of the trajectory of the ball.

Clarityman here to offer you some gameplay tips! I struggled mightily when the game first came out, I used to throw my controller in frustration when I'd strike out repeatedly while the computer was a hitting machine. So here are some batting tips that I still use from time to time to keep my game sharp.

        Batting Tips:

-Be very patient at the plate. It's typically a good idea to take pitches until the first strike is thrown, even if it's down the middle. Remember, just because it's thrown down the middle doesn't mean it will definitely be a hit if you swing, there's always the chance it will be an easy flyout or groundout.

-Avoid thinking about the homerun, most of the time when you do that, it doesn't happen because you start pressing and swinging at bad pitches. 90% of the time when you hit a homerun, you're surprised because you just responded instinctually to a good pitch to hit.

-Avoid thinking, "Oh no I'm gonna strike out." That'll screw you up a lot. On an 0-2 count, if you think that way, you're likely to swing out of the zone and fulfill your own prophesy. Instead, keep in mind that usually when the pitcher is ahead, he will try to throw balls to make you chase. Also remember, baseball is very much a mental game, you have to keep a clear head to succeed.

-When at the plate, don't wait until the ball is thrown to start paying attention to the pitch. Watch the pitchers windup. Notice how his body moves the moment before he throws. You'll start noticing patterns internally, like the pitcher delays half a second before throwing a breaking pitch, etc. Try to feel the pitchers rhythm!

-In the box, try to find the release point. Train your eye to look at the pitchers hand when he throws. This, again, is why taking pitches is essential.

-Keep your eye on the ball. When it's coming towards you it starts to get bigger very quickly. When it's about to break out of the zone, it might look like it's headed toward the strikezone but it will be very small. To help train your eye for this, you can go to batting practice and just take pitches over and over, no swinging. Do this maybe a hundred times and you'll suddenly be a lot better than you were before.

-If you're slumping, seriously consider turning the pitch speed down to get your timing back. This will really help you start understanding what to look for.

I'll return with pitching tips if you want them later! Good luck, and be sure to take the advice of these many fine board members on rosters, franchises, etc.

In regards to the DLC from Amazon, they email that to you when the game ships. I've ordered games before from Amazon and you'll probably get an email either the day the game ships or slightly before. Be sure to check your junk email bin regularly a few days before the release date just in case it goes there.

Which mode do you guys prefer in The Show ?

Do you prefer RttS, franchise mode, online play, ... ?

I'm sure I'll want to play all of those, but I'm a little bit scared of online leagues since I'll be a rookie with the game
