Here are the rules:

• DO NOT POST THE NAME OF THE STORE
• Do not ask over and over again about your area. Search the thread first.
• Use full state names, not abbreviations. Example: Use Maryland, not MD. This makes the thread searchable by our engine, which doesn't allow words of less than 3 letter to be searched (that way, users can search for their state).
• DO NOT POST THE NAME OF THE STORE OR ANY DETAILS WITH IT'S EXACT LOCATIONS. THAT IS WHAT PM'S ARE FOR.

can this thread be for people to post WHERE they've ACTUALLY gotten it? it always turns into 95% of the posts being people asking about their location and 5% of the posts people actually posting where they've gotten it - why post your area? everyone wants it and we're all over the country - just let the people who have it post what area they got it and people can PM that guy for more info....

No. Those stores arent supposed to be selling the game early and risk a fine by selling it early. Posting the actual store could cause small mom and pop stores to stop selling games early. Posting the area is almost like posting the store name. In MD there are 2 M&P stores, so if I post the location of one of those stores...it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out the name of the store.

What he's saying makes sense though. People should just post in here "Hey i got it in Columbus, Ohio, PM me if you want it" and the people who don't have it should just not post. It'd make the thread much easier to read.

Like for example, if I find it today in Columbus do you really think i'm going to read all 8,000 posts and find everyone who has posted "If anyone finds it in Columbus, OH please PM me" and send them a PM?

It's supposed to work the other way around, people who have it post and people who don't PM them.

He is saying he wants only people who find the game to post in this thread, and state the AREA they got it, not the store. It makes sense, he is saying why have a zillion posts "anyone find it in XYZ county??", instead of just only people who find it posting then others would PM them....a much shorter thread that's not 8000 pages...

Makes sense in a way, but I enjoy the madness!!

You can just post "I got it in NW Ohio. PM me". You've seen OS do these types of threads tens of times and thats how its always worked.

aholbert32 - that is what i'll do, which is why I was saying that all these people who are posting stuff like "If anyone sees it in Columbus, Ohio PM me" are wasting their time and just creating more clutter in this thread. No one who finds the game is going to go back through the thread and actively look for people they don't know in their area to help them out. Even i'm not that nice

For any Canadians, a guy on Red Flag Deals was able to score a copy today from a big retail store that sells groceries only in Canada with the location in the greater Toronto area. Not sure if this will work again or at other locations but it's a big chain.
