For those asking... Yeah, I'm in New York but I'm not getting it from anywhere in the city. Lets just say I got it yesterday on a very popular site and paid extra to have it shipped overnight. Better than driving around wasting the weekend + it was only $15 extra.
I don't feel too crazy seeing what some of you are posting and I get the feel 90% of you would have probably done the same thing.

I also drove 51 miles to L.A. with the hope that my spot would get the game in their 5 p.m. shipment and to find out that they only received 2K10

The guy pretty much assured me that it would be there early Mon afternoon so I still decided to pay it off in full to make sure that I get a copy and make my trip to L.A. worthwhile

They said that 2K10 will come in the morning, and The Show 10 and Bad Company 2 will be in mid-afternoon (maybe 2:00-ish).

Oh, and someone brought up to me via PM that it's too bad LA people won't get games like Madden early, and that was actually in our conversation yesterday. Here's what I wrote about his explanation regarding that:

Oh, and that's actually one other thing that he said, but I didn't talk about because it wasn't relevant to baseball... he said that Madden still may be possible to release early, because it's not relatively as popular in this city as it is in other cities. Basically, other cities will be more problematic with early releases than LA, so they're less worrisome about it.

I mean think about it, what does the LA area have? Two basketball teams, two baseball teams, two hockey teams, buncha movie and other media stuff, and plain ol' west coast action. Sure people still play football, but there is no football team, therefore there isn't as much interest. Same reason NASCAR isn't popular there, but would be in a small town. They'll be much more concerned about cities like Chicago, Miami, and New York for this reason.

Also, I don't remember if I said it or not, but this whole thing may only last as long as a few months just to see how things run, though it may last forever as well. Time will tell on this one, and it's just unfortunate that it has to be that way. However, there is still a chance of getting Madden early. A small chance, but there still is one.

I just got back from checking my spot in the Western Suburbs of Chicago where I got it early last year and ZERO luck. So, I swallowed my pride and pre-ordered from Gamestop. ::sigh::

Gamestop will never get another penny from me again, damn complainers. I would rather just order from Amazon with release date shipping, plus you get the classic stadiums.

What is the real street date? I know, I ask every year. Does "ships 3/2" mean I can get it on 3/2, or is it 3/3?
