this may sound crazy but there is something to be said for waiting for the official release date. I have gotten it early the last two years on the saturday before it dropped, and the best part about it was the thrill of finding a place. I also networked with a bunch of guys on this site in the process. I feel that that is the true value for getting it early.
But from a gameplay standpoint I just like getting use to controls and pitching as early as possible. That's what I usually use the demo for, that way I can jump into my "early roster franchise" with a NL team since i always use the Yanks in my "polished roster franchise".
So, with that said, here in jersey, I will spend my weekend completing my Madden online draft board for tomorrows draft for season 4 of our 32 team league franchise, and watch some college basketball, and finally watch usa beat canada tomorrow... monday will be fun since many people will have game and i will live through their experiences for 24 hours...

im tempted to pick heavy rain up but i really don't think i will have the time now with the show. i think instead, i'm gonna get a new contoller.. but i've heard some really great things about the game

God this is crazy. I woke up this morning thinking I would check the site and see messages like "Most mom and pop stores now have the game!"

I can't imagine it's because they wouldn't sell it if they have it, I mean c'mon they pretty much all sold Heavy Rain early. I hope I can find out that website, I would pay early to get it tomorrow except deliveries usually don't happen on Sundays.

If you read my long-winded post, you'll see that the reason Heavy Rain could be sold early is that it's not an online game. There aren't servers where Sony can track where everyone is playing, at least not unless they insert a code in the disc that can track it (which they may do in the future).

So God of War 3 may come early as well.

Lets just hope. Every spot I called in brooklyn said monday. I think I'm going to start going through the manhattan spots now.
