Oh and just a note - the Columbus place is much like the BG place. If you know of the place, there is no real point in calling them this early, they will just say they don't know. I'm not even bothering to call them until Friday since I know they will just give me the brush off. They always act as if you're crazy calling or inquiring about getting it early, but then lo and behold in the end they have it early (well NCAA/Madden they do).

So yeah I think this type of response is pretty typical to this sort of retailer.

I agree. I always feel bad calling every morning. You know the employees must dread this time of the year. "Those crazy Show fans are gonna start calling".

Oh i'll bet, I worked retail in video games once and I got sick of it. So I only try to call when I have to and when I think its really possible they may have it.

Yeah, no problem. I usually pop my head in there once a week to BS as well, so any new info I get, I'll let ya'll know.

They don't like to be bombarded with questions and phone calls all the time, though. I can see why they get flustered sometimes. Usually calling on Friday at or around noon is the best time, as that is when they will know for sure if they are getting it that day, or if they'll receive their shipment on Saturday around 12:00-1:00 PM.

You guys are absolutely correct. They have no way of knowing if they will receive their shipment by Friday or Saturday, especially if people are calling them on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday a week before release. If you want to get good, solid info, Thursday at 4:00-5:00 would be the earliest I would call.

But Friday at noon is when you'll most likely get a solid, truthful answer. Just a head's up for those calling these mom-and-pops' earlier then necessary.

Calling earlier than Thursday at my recommended time will just get you some smoke blown up your (insert explicit here)...

Yep, that's my plan, to call Friday sometime between noon and 1:30pm est (elvis standard time). And I shall post what I find for my Columbus, Ohio source then.

For any folks that may want me to pick them up a copy, be aware I leave work here at 4pm est sharp so if you want to communicate with me on here about a copy then be on here by 3:45pm at the latest.

this is my first year buying The Show on Ps3 (PS2 last couple years), but thanks to others have gotten NBA2k and NCAA Football early in The Twin Cities,MN.

If anyone hears anything let me know, i'll do the same.

Just popped into a store near where I live and was looking at the PS3 games just dreaming of maybe seeing MLB10 on the shelf. Anyway on the way out I passed by the PS2 section and there it was!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked if they had the PS3 version and they said "Not until March 2!!!" and then they removed the PS2 version from the shelf.

Soooo close!!!!

Oh yeah, that was in Canada.

anyone in the Toronto area who knows where to get it early please PM me thanks.I got NHL 10 early from some store in Mississauga by some information from somebody on these forums but i forget who it was.hopefully i can get the show early to.
