Can I pickup my game from ANY Gamestop?

I paid in full for my game yesterday, and then came back to school tonight. I am going on Spring Break this Friday, and figured I would pick it up then, but then I got to thinking. Can I just pick my copy up at a gamestop that is close to school? Or do I have to pick it up at the same location I reserved it at?

It sucks, but it makes sense. You pre-order so they know how many games to receive on their first shipment

i also know you have to get it from the store you pre-order because i've been to the wrong gamestop before on accident, because there's one by my home, one by work, and one by my GF's place...sometimes i forget which one i have my pre-orders from, and it's not in their system if you didn't go through them...the pre-orders are store specific.

No. Because a store orders a certain number of copies based on pre-orders, you can't do that.

I know, I'm bummed too! I pre-ordered from one Gamestop but the other one is doing a midnight release. Why can't I ever get things right?!?! I never seem to catch a break! Later

Well the reason I ask is because there have been many times where I go to gamestop on the day of release, they ask me if I have it reserved, I say no, and they say "Oh, well we got some extra's here anyway, so you can have one".

They seem to order more than have they have reserved (makes sense) so it's never been a problem. The only difference that I think the fact that I completely paid for it at one location may be a problem because then 1 store has more money than items sold, and the other place has more items sold then money collected.

I am going to call and ask just to be sure, but I think me paying for the game already is what might be the problem.
