Re: MLB '10: The Show - Franchise Issues Update
The more I read this thread, the more I confuse myself :o
Now im all geared up to start my franchise tomorrow with the new roster set... and I am happy that there are workarounds, nothing like putting in a bit of work to get the most out of something that will give me months of enjoyment
So im after the settings that will help me the most, correct me if im wrong:
My profile to the team I am playing with.
No Profile setting into all other 29 teams.
Trades set to Manual for my Profile (along with anything else I want set to Manual)
Trades set to Manual for Global settings, but everything else set to AUTO.
Now with the last part, does that mean the CPU will propose a trade between say Boston and Chicago, but I then 'approve' it or not.... (thats the setting Knight mentioned at some point way back in the thread).. this is what I want. I want the CPU to propose trades, but for me to say... yes you can or no you cant (if its silly). But at the same time I want the CPU to do its lineups, injuries and all that fluff.
So if thats what I want, are the settings I proposed the correct ones, cheers
Yes, all that is correct! CPU will do its lineups, injuries etc... HOWEVER, regardless of what you do, the cpu will NOT call up players do to performance, only injuries.
It could be patched(hopefully), but until then when I receive emails at the first of each month regarding struggling AA and AAA players, and players that are doing well, I will move the players up and down manually for EVERY team(And it's only like 6 or 7 guys total, so not much work at all!)Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show - Franchise Issues Update
If anyone gets a chance can they please test this? I see it has been reported in bugs section. I have simmed to year 3 checking things to see if issues improve, (trade logic does, minor leaguers don't get promoted though for some reason)
Any way I am at a point where I am stuck and will not let me advance. Aug 11, 2012. Other have said May. What I did was stop sim look in email....stuck!!!
Can any one try see if it does it?Comment

Uh-Oh! I'll test this for sure and see! Haven't really simmed past just the first season so never seen anything yet. Going to start a simulation now and sim a good 7-10 seasons(hopefully without a freeze!)Comment

I know they are not on vacation. I am just frustrated that I am sitting here on a Sunday wanting to play a finished game and cannot. I praised SCEA on the Madden board asking EA dev. team to take some pointers from SCEA after that fast response on day 1. I apologize to the dev. team. Just frustrated with how long it takes to get a finished product these days.WWE 2k Universe : Re-Booking WWF And WCW After Wrestlemania IX: Universe

Re: MLB '10: The Show - Franchise Issues Update
You sir have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. No developer comes close the SCEA as far as support. Well the Show crew anyways...
They also have lives so maybe you should understand
1: No game in history has been releases without issues and
2: It's a VIDEO GAME and SCEA will fix issues, period. They work looong and hard and miss tons of time with their families to bring this game to you. Don't like it then trade it in and move on and skip next years version.
To say these guys take your money and go on vacation right after is idiotic. They've been here damn near every day since release getting feedback etc... Try actually knowing what you are talking about before you post something likie that again.
That being said, I haven't see a developer post anything since the day of the release and I remember reading one of them saying they were taking a 'break'.
Not hating, the game is great, the big problems will be fixed, but lets not try to make them out to be victims.Comment

Oh god, cry me a river, unemployment in this country is at 10%, at least these guys have jobs. Release a substandard product and you are going to catch some stuff from the people that give you their money, that's life.

Re: MLB '10: The Show - Franchise Issues Update
I'm not knowledgeable enough about MLB prospects to know how bad the potentials are off. Are the mistakes that are getting corrected tomorrow both serious and pervasive across the entire roster? Or is it more an issue of a handful of important guys being wrong?Comment
