i just figure the devs or someone would know what exactly this error code is about. should i contact PSN about this code? Where is the official MLB The Show support site? i had no problems getting online either until the sun rose today. i guess it could happen to anyone at anytime

You can try here:
You can make a post under technical support and see what happens. If you don't get an answer right away, chances are they don't have one yet.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
A. It isn't a franchise issue. B. We can't get the new roster update since we can't even connect to sportsconnect.
Sorry, but your post doesn't apply to our issue since it isn't a franchise issue. It is an issue connecting to the actual sportsconnect. And not being able to get the new rosters on monday is part of the problem.
And to EnigmaNemesis, did you have a code or have to purchase them from PSN? I had to purchase them from PSN so maybe that's it.
Bottom line is I was able to connect before I got the classic stadiums, now I can't. If they aren't connected, so be it. But I'm trying to figure this one out.
I'm going to call in the morning since no one is answering us. I still love the game but man stuff like this I thought I'd left behind when I kicked 2k baseball to the curb. Hopefully its a quick fix, but I doubt it.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
Mine was the code, but either way, it applies the same usage rights. It considers it "purchased" off the store.
I hope that you can get to the bottom of this, and a fix is in order. It seems PSN account related though, since the game data was redone and still the same issue.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
Yeah, I hope it gets fixed soon too. I took your advice and posted it on their forums. Fingers are crossed now that I don't have to wait till patch 2. If I do then I might have to take the game back till then. Not a fan of having a game that I can't really play.Mine was the code, but either way, it applies the same usage rights. Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
Dank, I'd go ahead and post in my thread there too so they know there's more than one of us. There has to be a simple fix since this isn't wide spread (or one would hope). Of course the other fear is it doesn't get fixed since others aren't having this problem.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
Hmm, so if you guys who are having the problem are at the xmb (not in the game) can you can sign into the psn ok? If not then it sounds like another psn problem.
If you gotta have your online fix a possible workaround might be to create a new ps3 user, then make a new psn acct. This way your psn account shouldn't be tainted by the dlc... then again if you unlock any trophies or your online ranks wouldn't carry over...
:
1. from the xmb, create a new user
2. log into that new user
3. sign up for a new psn account
4. re-install mlb 10
5. hopefully you can log into sportsconnect until they fix the problemComment

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
I can log into psn no problem. It is just sportsconnect. I'm gonna try your advice though just to see if it worksCheck out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
Ok, I tried logging into a different account and I can log into sportsconnect there. This means it has to be tied to the classic stadiums. I had to purchase them, did not have a code for them. It is a lame work around, but it works. I'm on hold with tech support right now. Doubt they'll be much help but who knows. So workaround is a different psn profileCheck out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
hmm, so my trophies and friend list will be on a foreign account..
nor really the best solution but i appreciate the info
that definitely singles out the problem to being the purchase of the stadiums. not sure if i want my whole file to be tied to an alternate user account. i guess theres no way to delete the stadium info from my system memory
further proof that the stadiums are glitched is the fact that you have to sign into PSN just for them to be unlocked. after i purchased them, they should be permanently unlocked, offline and online. as i mentioned before, this is a specific error code that has to mean something to one of the devs out there.
any luck with tech support scoop? im still thinking i should stick with another game until this is resolved. if im gonna put 100's of hours into a sport sim, its gonna have to be on my primary account and its gonna have to work with the things i spent real cash money on. whos to say that downloading rosters wont get us right back in this mess. theres clearly a wormhole in the structure and its still thereLast edited by dankpossum; 03-06-2010, 01:30 PM.Comment

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
They took down my report of the matter but the ones who will work on it are off till Monday. If I were you I'd call them too. The more reports the better.
I tried their workaround but no help so it's wait till monday. Oh, and downloading rosters doesn't hurt it. Tested that on the new profileCheck out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:

Re: "NP Auth Failed: ticket data size mismatch"
sounds like a plan. which number are you calling?
i'll be glad to file a report too.
crazy how there's no way to delete the stadium unlock download from your system. theres just the one bulk file in the PS3 memory which must include the installation file, the update data and the DLC. when my last PS3 was stolen i had all kinds of problems redownloading various DLC that was all tied to my serial number,
but most games like Burnout Paradise still had individual files for each download.
im not even gonna try starting a new game on a different profile as that would just be more frustrating making progress with a ghost profile. i appreciate you trying it though and letting us know it worked. if you want to add "wharphrat" to your PSN friends maybe we can keep in touch till this gets resolved.

Small world. I was there in 01 and still live in the pine belt.
I'm calling the number in the front of the game's instruction menu. Not close to it so can't just post it.Check out my updated 2017 blog on building a high school football video game:
