Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
If you were playing an exhibition game then it's because the latest roster update has some players at the wrong position. Maybin is set as the catcher for the Marlins instead of CF, there are a couple otherMarlins out of position as well. When you start a season the cpu sets them at their proper positions though. i check and there are about 6-7 teams that need fixing to use this roster in exhibition games.Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
Just to clarify..probably again..sorry,
If i put go with no profile assigned to the other 29 teams i take control of the injury slider will still effect them right? Assigning a profile to each team only effects trades then?
Thanks for the help..Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
In my Mariners franchise it would injure Jack Wilson for 6 months no matter what I did. I took him out of the game, send him down and released him, yet he would always get hurt. Crazy.EPL - Arsenal
MLB - Seattle Mariners
NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers
NFL - Philadelphia Eagles
MLS - Seattle Sounders

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
I actually like the idea of being a "trade overlord" it helps me keep up with which players are going where. My only question is, what about when we want to make a trade? Wouldn't anything go through? I could trade Mike Fontenot for Albert Pujols and it would go through if I'm controlling both teams, right? That's the only thing I have a problem with. If that is the case I will have to have a sense of self-control and only make what I deem to be "realistic" trades. Kind of takes away from the game in that regard.Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
Not starting a whole new thread about how to save settings.
There could be a thread title "HOW TO SAVE SETTINGS!"
And there would be 5 threads started afterward asking how to save settings. people need to start using the search engine.Last edited by Skyboxer; 03-09-2010, 05:54 PM.Joshua:

As far as trades go.... assigning a seperate profile to each team stopped your own players from being traded.Joshua:

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
In the global options I believe but only as your starting your franchise. Once you get into the franchise there is no way to go back and change it unfortunately. I cant say 100% its global options but its the first screen where you are setting your options as you begin your franchise, I would check for you but cant as I dont have the ability to flip the game on currently.Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
I don't want to start a new thread and clutter up the front page but I'm wanting to know what people are doing on this forum as far as franchise. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is trying to decide whether or not to start a franchise or wait until a patch is released. I've kind of gotten lost in the threads here. Can someone clarify what the major issue(s) are with franchise mode? What is causing some of you guys not to go ahead and start a franchise, besides waiting for Knight's rosters? I'm trying to decide what to do but I don't want to start a franchise if there's some kind of glarring bug that I'm overlooking.
It seems the primary bug has to do with trades. But controlling all 30 teams corrects this, right? Again, sorry if I am going over old information but I'm just trying to wrap my head around everything.
And what about the double switch? I've heard it's broken and it's not. Which one is it?
And lastly, has SCEA even said that they are working on a new patch? I'd at least like to know that they are planning on fixing problems before I wait for nothing.Comment

Re: MLB '10 The Show Tips and Work Arounds
I understand the flawed trade system is a big deal. But as for what the biggest problem seems to be, I am much more concerned with the fact that I can go into my roster, move players up and down levels, come back to the schedule, try to simulate a game, and nothing happens. Can't go forward at all. I tried quitting the game (w/o saving), but when I re open it the same thing happens. AS if the file has become corrupted or something. Does nobody else see this happening? Or does nobody else see it as a big issue?Comment
