Please, someone enlighten us!

I'm ready to roll on a season, except for this issue.

How do you balance out sliders and settings to get realistic steal results for self AND CPU?

I tried pretty much every setting on the baserunning sliders and still couldnt fix this... my steal(auto baserunning) ratio is below 50% (take notice i have davis and coco)...
The best i could come up is this:
Throw streangth: 4
baserunning ability: 10
baserunning frequency: default
baserruning speed: 6
AI Pitcher pickoffs: 0(they still try to pick when your runner takes a big lead)

With those settings i have about 45-55% success rate, still very low but at least better than before... one thing important to do is to hold those agressive runners when theyre on 2nd... theyll try to steal 3rd way often, and as u know its a lot harder to steal 3rd than 2nd. To hold them, just take a step back in situations u really dont want them to steal 3rd like with 2 outs. (pressing R2)

Maybe it has to do more with "when" you are trying to steal. I usually try and steal when I think the pitcher is going to throw a breaking ball or change up.

Usually I get caught when the pitcher throws a fast ball.

Im on auto baserunning man..the AI and players ratings decides WHEN to steal, not me, thats the hole point behind using auto imo.

How many games are you considering for your sample size? I only ask because I use auto baserunning and have not had this problem.

Also, be careful with some of those sliders. Throwing strength has no affect on catchers, it says so right on the slider description, so that won't do anything for your stealing.. Also, there are some people reporting that the basestealing success slider is actually backwards from the description. If this is true you would need to lower it to make stealing more effective. Putting on 3 seems to be the consensus as a good spot.

Apparently the Base Stealing Ability is reversed, according to several people. Bump that DOWN to 3 while increasing the Steal Frequency a couple of notches.

my sample is about 150 games into my season mode(im just about on all star break playing with 2 teams(A's and Giants)

Yeah that slider is backwards, i have it set on #4 of 10 using manual baserunning and find that steals are about right. I do not take any leadoff.

its been a frustating season so far for my base stealers.
