Yeah, I've been using it for the past 3 games and it's great. However, in the year 2010, I expect a pitching interface that isn't just what High Heat did back in the day.

They do a few english songs; I'm not sure what songs actually played in the video , and Shiina Ringo did a great cover of Can't Take My Eyes Off You

Check out this cover of this 50s song by Tokyo Jihen:

      What do you expect then?

It's like complaining that racing games all use "x" as the gas pedal....it makes me scratch my head that some of you guys just will never be happy with video games

If you put your computer cursor the the spot where you aimed, you will see the pitch NEVER hit the exact spot. Sure it was close most of the time, but why SHOULDN'T it be? Who cares if Marmol is very wild. The only thing that should make him different in the game is that his meter should move faster. But if you hit the perfect line, it should be an accurate pitch, otherwise, what is the point of ever pitching with Marmol if you can never succeed with him?

Possibly do a pitching interface akin to hot shots golf where it's basically the same meter system but the meter itself is invisible. You would set velocity by the leg kick and then press X at the pitch's release point to set accuracy. It would go completely off visual cues by looking at the pitcher's animation. Since you wouldn't be able to see the sweet spot, it would pitch much more realistically. And, this is just what I came up with in a couple minutes. I'm sure professional video game designers could come up with something better.

I'm a rock guy myself, I'm going to a Muse concert tomorrow . My favorite music is classic rock; Zeppelin, Beatles, CCR, Queen, etc. I just dig most of Shiina Ringo's stuff for some reason, something different and good in my opinion.

Ya I'm more into the older rock to, my "sweet spot" would have to be 80's & 90's but I like certain bands and artists before that era. Not fond of much that comes out these days though.

I think you should worry more about your taste in music rather than meter pitching *GASP* ACTUALLY WORKING!

The 80s were great, KEYBOARD on the wall!!!

Not big on the 90s though. The 90s makes me think of Nirvana, while a good band, but also an extremely overrated band in my opinion.

I would understand if he was missing the marker in the meter by a long shot and the pitches still had pin point accuracy, but from what i saw he was either hitting the marker or very close, so of course the accuracy of the pitches would be close. If anything increase the game difficulty (rookie, pro, vet, etc.) to make the meter harder to use.

I was playing on Legend, check the video. I shouldn't be able to pitch like Greg Maddux with Carlos Marmol. It's not hard to hit the sweet spot on the meter so the devs should have coded the meter to be more stat-based because it's too much based off user skill.

I am now playing on classic on HoF, Legend with classic must be near impossible.

I only made this topic because people in my other topic were saying stuff like, "Then we must be playing different games," "I have yet to go a game where I don't walk at least one batter," "Pitching Meter is tougher this year but not broken," etc.

I really want the devs to create a new pitching interface for next year. The meter has been around since MVP 2003 I think, and classic is just like High Heat's pitching interface and games before that may have used it as well. I want a system that has a good balance of user skill and pitcher ratings.

I know this isn't probably the fix you are looking for since its not really changing anything, but. . .

Have you tried pitching from pitching view or outfield view instead of catcher? I used to use catcher and would always hit my spots, but when I switched to outfield, meter pitching became more difficult. I have found the results to be a lot more realistic pitching from outfield cam.
